A Nightmare Before Christmas t-shirt, a navy Old Navy zip hoodie (ha!), and purple sweatpants (this is more "color" than I ever wear! ;;D). Decided not to wear any makeup today-even took off nail & toenail polish. So if you'd like to see "hideous"...;-D
I stopped wearing makeup years ago for this reason! I always look the same in every situation-- getting out of bed, shopping for groceries, trying to outrun zombies, etc.. People can't get freaked out seeing me without makeup if I don't wear any in the first place.

Well, it takes a lot of pressure off! I don't have to "put on my face" to go out in public. :smile2:
I'm too old to not wear makeup! I would feel so naked without it...my husband and son are the only two who have ever seen me without it. It takes only about 5 minutes to put it on, and it really makes a difference, bleeve meh! I'm vain, I know. Which isn't always bad...

I am your age Bshell.

ahh my mom was that way. Crazy that I am older than her at the time. She would go to the hairdresser every Monday.. comb it out and said it was not right. She would not go to hospital without makeup when I found her with heart attack. She said wait... I have to put lipstick on..... She said... not bad for a old lady..

I would say noooo.... And it was true. And she really did look different in a mirror than herself.

I know she looked at herself as a young teen in the mirror. I do it too.

damn.

Well, I know I wouldn't worry about makeup if I were having a heart attack.
Come to think of it, I took a family member to the hospital at 2 in the morning this past June, and didn't think about makeup...so I guess all those hospital people saw me without it too.
I just feel beautiful with it on...I don't wear much...but I say, if I feel good with it on, that's a good thing. I like to go out looking my best.
I also have a thing about wedges. I got addicted to them about a year ago, and now I don't feel right if I'm not wearing them! I have waaaaayyyy too many.
I wore topsiders to work Friday, and one of my students said, "Where are your heels, Mrs. D?" Dressed up, makeup on, no-nonsense attitude...I think middle-schoolers respect it more.
