This is an interesting article about the strange history of Stevie Nick's great song, Silver Springs. Silver Springs was recorded during the Rumors sessions and did not make the album (it has been added to cd versions). When Rumors was first released, I bought the single Go Your Own Way and Silver Springs was on the B-side. I loved the song and I always wondered why this awesome song didn't make the cut for Rumors. Back in the vinyl days, if you went longer than 23 minutes per side, the quality of the sound was compromised but the time issue was only part of the story for Silver Springs.
