She just informed me she won the B&N college sweepstakes grand prize from a purchase of pens she made back in March. A paid vacation for 2 to Maui, HI. B&N emailed her and called her. Really nice package with all kinds of things planned every day. I checked it all out and it’s completely legit. We’re making the call this afternoon, and the only concern is the thousands she'll have to pay in federal taxes based on its value. Alas, it’s a behemoth book store entity... why couldn’t the grand prize be something really good, like dinner with Stephen King?
