Shuttling SwiftMom to one of her seemingly never ending drs. appointments. Took 10 minutes just to find somewhere to park. The office isn’t even in Boston! Craziness!

Took the day off so I will try to get my Christmas shopping done (or at least mostly done) after I get SwiftMom home. I have rehearsal for my musicians workshop tonight.

Work and root canal tomorrow.

Fun, fun, fun :)
safe driving. Have fun with the crowds in the stores.

I watched most of the Boston versus Detroit ice hockey game played today which was broadcast live on Fox here. Good game. The player called Marchand scored the winning goal in overtime, and he did a beautiful pass to set up another goal. Fast game, I think Boston deserved to win. I can't even stand up on ice skates.

This evening I had an appointment with my dentist for a cleaning and an appointment with my primary care for my annual physical.

It was a good news/ bad news scenario.

First the bad. I told the hygienist that I was having some issues with one of my teeth with chewing and temperature sensitivity. After she finished my cleaning they did x-rays. As you can probably guess, the x-rays show I need a root canal on the tooth that is bothering me. Me dentist looked at the x-ray and said I must have an extremely high pain tolerance as most patients he's seen with that much root pressure would not be able to function. SwiftDogs are tough dogs :tounge: Anyway, he wanted me to come in next week to have the root canal done before Christmas as his office is shut down the last week of December. I'm in St. Louis all next week so I couldn't do it then. They had an opening on Thursday so now I have to have a root canal Thursday afternoon. Lucky me

My annual physical was fine. My blood work, BP, and all other SwiftDoggie vital signs were A-OK. Only issues were weight (which I already knew) and an eczema flare up. Got cream for the eczema and a lecture on the weight. At least my body weight is consistent. It's exactly the same as it was when I was there last. Will be going on a diet after the first of the year. I want to avoid the health issues that SwiftDad had.
:(:doc::ill:

Good luck with the root canal and I hope they give you lots of pain killers!
:peace:

I've rethought the Xmas tree dilemma - I'm going to go scope out a few likely candidates, then when Andy comes home on December 18th we can go shopping together. Since he'll be putting it up (probably) it would help if he gets to decide which one to choose.

They have nice ones now with colour changing lights and a remote control!

I'd go for something like this, but then Andy would have to don his gay apparel (it's sort of Liberace-feeling)

Yikes! Hope you adjust soon! No clients are missing ears are they??;;D
Only the ones who make me angry......:biggrin2:

The optometrist told me there would be an adjustment period this time, and to give them a week or so before I call to complain. Apparently, he knows the length of my patience fuse.....:a11:

The close up work/reading part is fine. It's the distance correction and the progressive lenses that are giving me a fit. I have double vision if I look through the lens with my peripheral vision.

Being from Boston, I am genetically engineered and required by law to root for the Bruins!

Marchand is a very good player. Unfortunately, he has a tendency to play dirty at times. He’s the type of player you love if he’s on your team but would hate if he played fir someone else.
