what do you currently want/ desire

Ah Gawd.... y'all're scaring (and scarring?) me. 
I want incompetent, albeit "helpful" people, to stop telling me how to do my job.
That may sound negative but it can be turned positive. In an Emergency, not knowing what you're doing and doing it anyway, can have mightily disastrous results.
My supervisor and the Unit's Commander tells them that all the time but he's a lot more firm than I am about telling them what they can and can not do to help.
This guy said to my supervisor, "I know what I'm talking about." As if we don't know?
My supervisor said "Sir you're mightily wrong about that." Then asked the guy if he (the guy) needed us to call a police officer.
I'm so glad I'm not the supervisor. That feels like too much pressure for me.

There was always drama like that when we had to call the paramedics if one of the clients became ill at the homeless shelter. Sure enough, another client would get in the way and try to tell the paramedics what to do. One woman would not leave the side of another client...even though she didn't know him. I had to have two support workers use nonviolent restraint to get her away so that the paramedics could do their jobs. I can imagine what your days are like sometimes.

What I can say is this - there's probably somebody out there who does what you do, and maybe better. But that doesn't mean you should not do it - if it makes you feel good, if you enjoy what you do, these are pretty strong reasons to keep doing it.
I am currently writing a vampire novel - I know, they've all been done to death, pun intended - but this is what I like writing. Should I give up because it's been done so many times before until the world is probably sick hearing/reading/watching it? Oh well...

It's got pirates too. 
I want my kids to keep learning in school and I want them to be happy at the same time. I don't want anything for myself except maybe for the pain in my wrist to go away.

I would absolutely love to hear your story of meeting him if you don't mind telling it.Nothing selfish about that Misery, if you asked me 2 years ago, that's what I would have answered, and the year before that, etc... As far as I can remember (well almost) meeting SK was my biggest wish. I was incredibly lucky to meet him last year and I tell you there is a "before meeting SK" and an " after meeting SK ", my brother tells me he loves it when I tell him about my trip to Paris to meet Stephen King, he says I look so happy when I talk about it. Because I kept going on about it after it happened, and I still do! ( lol) Whatever makes you happy Misery, I truly wish for you to experience it too

My feet weren't touching the floor for days after that! Especially after I came home and saw online that after SK signed my book he actually changed the pen he was using and used mine to sign the rest of the books! I found a great picture of him with the pen too, I can almost make out the words of the engraving ! I'll cherish tha picture forever, I tell you

BeverleyMarsh -Great story and fantastic picture! That is awesome that he was using your pen and that was a nice gift for you to give him. Definitely a treasured memory for you and I'm happy you experienced it! Also enjoyed your answer to the journalist 
I wonder if he realizes just how much of an impact he has on people? He may not remember everyone he meets but they sure remember him and always will. Thank you for sharing.
As for me, I live one town over from Bangor. I saw him once or twice(never met, just saw) when I was a teen then moved away for 20 years, came back about 2 1/2 years ago and never see him anywhere. lol. I have a slim chance to meet him tomorrow. The Ghost Brothers Broadway tour is kicking off in this area and the first showing is tomorrow night. They're having a reception/dinner before the show and he is supposed to be there. I'm trying not to get my hopes too high because I imagine that there will be many people at the reception that he knows and he will be swarmed by them and I won't bother him at dinner. If I get a chance though I'm going to certainly try! At least we'll be in the same vicinity. I also hope to meet our Madame Ms. Mod who will be at the dinner part of the evening. Either way I'm really looking forward to it and can't wait to see the show! Also, I am going to go on Tues Nov 11th and attempt to get tickets to his Portland signing. I hope one, the other, or even both work out!

I really hope you do get tickets for the Portland signing. That was my next wish. Obviously after having met him no other wish could quite match it except meeting again and in Maine, of all places. I have been looking around for cheap flights but I had to resign myself that I would still need to win the lottery very soon to be able to make it. It's just far too expensive. And you girl, have a chance to do it! Really hope it all works out, I want to hear YOUR story Good luck !
