After tonight, I can honestly say that getting shot at while trying to treat a patient leads the list of what gives me the creeps. Leads it with a bullet, you might say.
That's it. I already did Incident Debriefing for it so I'm not going to dwell on it. But it was creepy to say the least.

I'm glad you are safe! How scary!

Actually, right at first it was more annoying than scary. In fact I was so annoyed I yelled out "Didn't your mom ever teach you it's not nice to shoot at strangers!" Which totally disconcerted my partner and supervisor. He called for police and said "Do not dally, shots are being fired at us, get here now please." Because the police think we're being overreactive sometimes and take their good old time getting to the scene, but not if you say "Shots are being fired." Then for some reason known only to them (certainly not us) they'll hurry for that but not other things that we think are equally as important - like when we had to watch as a victim was being beaten by a suspect and could do nothing to stop it.
Some people have no business being police officers, as I'm sure everybody's had more than enough of learning about in the past two weeks. What with the other officer in NYC being acquitted after being videotaped using an illegal chokehold that killed the suspect. The videographer of this little scene OTOH has been charged with something (I have no idea what) and is sitting in jail right now just for filming the illegal chokehold.
