I learned about SharonC yesterday, what a loss for all of us! As these friends of ours take leave and move on, I try to focus on what a happy homecoming it will be for each of us when it's our turn to cross the veil. Each year, I have more people on the flip side I'll be excited to see, so as my time gets closer (as ours does every minute) I have reason to look ahead as well as behind. :bee: (<---Is that an angel? I'm pretending that's an angel....)

Sigmund, I'm so sorry about your Daddy. How are you doing? How is your family? I'm glad I could be there as much as I was.

When Sweet Sigmund texted me, I couldn't call her because I was at the hospital with one of my twins. She was having her gall bladder removed, apparently she'd been producing and hoarding precious jewels in there. So, while it was an emergency surgery, it wasn't nearly the emergency Sig was having! But I couldn't get away, and I couldn't make any noise, so I was stuck on text....

Lyddeth is fine now, and we are glad for the surgery because now we can tell the twins apart. Just check for a gall bladder, and if you find one it's Maezel. ;;D

Scott, ugh fibro! I hope they find a diagnosis for her, and I hope you all find a doc that is helpful. There are still quite a few out there who don't take fibro seriously, and some who don't even believe it exists! If your doctor is a PITA, find a new one. The only other advice I can give right now, without knowing any details, is that everyone is different. One person's "magic bullet" may not do anything for another, and may even make someone else worse. Don't get discouraged by that, there are so many options out there, so keep trying. I think that when they have completed more research years from now, they'll find that what we now call fibromyalgia is really several other nerve, endocrine, and/or musculoskeletal disorders that are being bundled together under one umbrella term. As they tease them apart, the treatments will become less scattershot, and we'll understand why this works for me, and that works for her, and the other thing works for him, etc.

That got longer than I expected, but I wanted to add one thing. But my rheumatologist and my neurologist have been finding that many of their patients are very deficient in Vitamin D. My rheum put me on high prescription levels of D *nearly 2 years ago,* and I am just now starting to move into the "normal" range. I have noticed a difference in my pain levels with this supplement, unlike a lot of things we've tried. It's not known if fibro people have an extra hard time taking D from foods and that's why we're low, or we're low just because a lot of people are low (you know, because we're fat and indoorsy here in the U.S.,) but it does seem to make a difference, and it's cheap and easy to get!

So many babies, congratulations everyone! What are all these babies' names?

Can anyone recommend an easy, free photo host? I was using flickr, but they've just gotten weirder and weirder. I want to post some photos, but I can't get them from my phone to stupid Flickr and now I don't know what to do next.

Thank you all for remembering me! I've missed you so much!

...thanks baby-girl for your thoughtfulness....she got her diagnosis, so she doesn't fret that people think she's crazy(only for living with me)...just more steps to try to get her righted around-since there is no specific treatment...I WILL mention the Vitamin D...she had blood drawn today, but they were checking for B....

Shasta has baby boy Cash - hossenpepper posted some photos on here for her. Maybe he can remember where they are - I forgot. He's a cutie.
Riot87 has baby boy Dominic, and I don't think we've seen pictures yet - but I could be wrong.

I use Photobucket for online photo storage.

GNTLGNT - sorry to hear about the Bombshell's pain. Wish you both well.
