Hi!

Just what the thread says. What is your favorite ice-cream treat?

I'll start. My favorite ice-cream treat to get from the ice-cream truck is

Cherry Popsicle

What's yours?

(BTW- my favorite Summer treats? Sno-cones, corn dogs, and cold pickle on a stick.

Thank you!

I feel so freaking boring in comparison.

My choice is a plain chocolate shake.

(I feel like I need to go sit in the corner or something.)

To make it more interesting, we do have an ice cream maker and have made our own with all the good stuff (fresh cream, etc.)
As far as summer treats go, I'm even more boring and go straight for a huge plate of fresh fruit at any given opportunity, but at least once a year I need to get me a funnel cake. So many memories of living at the fair every summer as a kid!

When on vacation I look for the old-fashioned ice-cream churns where the glass displays are nearly fogged up in the heat and the person dipping it has to put some muscle behind it. I like lemon custard, blueberry cheesecake and tin roof sundae but my favorite is pecan and praline in a cone.

At home I occasionally buy Klondike products. Here are two I like:

Agreed! I wanna see some biceps put to good use!
We live near an educational "village" that's very old fashioned and made to be like being back in the 1800's. It's a lot of fun to visit. The only non modern buildings are the candy shop (that sells old fashioned candy) and the ice cream parlor that has the old fashioned ice cream churns. A weakling like me would need an ice pick to get through that stuff, but it's so delicious.

Very rarely do I partake, but when I do all bets are off that the box won't be empty by the time the drive home from the store is complete. As Homer Simpson once said..."Well, we'd better get 5 in case we eat 4 on the way home"...

Um, there are Sonic the Hedgehog ice cream bars and I was just now informed?? Have I been living under a rock??
*runs into the night to find the nearest ice cream store*
(Forget that chocolate shake thing I said earlier!)

I ate some chocolate chip cookie dough ice cream, but then felt guilty - now I have to figure out how many points to count on Weight Watchers!
