Looked through my pictures, but don't really have any that show how scary that little stretch of road is.

First one is right at the top, that is Meadowlark Lake out in the distance. Second one is looking out over the drop off. But the perspective of the drop is not really there.

Third one is why I love going to that spot, it is so beautiful and pretty quiet, too. Not many people brave that one section of road. ;-D And the last one, it is a few years old, but one of my very favorite pictures of Scott and the kids. That one was just a day trip, and Brandon didn't want to go.

I can see why you put on your big girl pants and go in spite of the road getting there, it is gorgeous! That's a great picture of Scott and the kids.

Beautiful countryside. I miss states that have landscapes rather than "sand".

Spiders anywhere and anytime. Snakes are just creepy and heights. I was not meant to be up in height.
Once, for my job, I was running cable in a crawlspace and in the dark I turned on my flashlight. Everywhere the light touched I saw pale cricket-like spiders. They were on my sleeves, the floor above me, the ashen dirt, and I could feel a few on the back of my neck. Luckily, I'm not scared of spiders. I felt like Indiana Jones, lol. I also hate snakes, btw.

I refuse to drive across the Sunshine Skyway Bridge. The side guard rails just aren't high enough for me. And you should feel it sway in winds! I'll take the long land route any day.

I've been over it many times. I hate it, too, Spidey!

I dig, I know. But that is fear of life.

You say tomato, I say F**K! Everyone is dead!

Made me laugh so hard!
Okay, not to be overly sensitive and just to make sure I was understood, my point was that for one to fear the death of others, except to the extent that their deaths might be painful or otherwise fearful for them, what is one fearing but his/her own life after the others are gone. If Deej was saying that the others died, now she's next, then yes, funny!

I'm okay with that. Not Grandma so much. As a Boy Scout, on a hike, I remember a crossing over the Mackinaw River. It was two cables - one on top to hang on to, another one lower to inch across on. It's probably not there nowadays. I can't imagine the liability issues. If one of us kids had lost his grip, it was sure serious injury, possibly death.

DiO, that was a hugely dramatic story. Memory for a lifetime. Wow.
At our high school senior prom I was voted ‘Most likely to die before reaching 21.' Found out at our last reunion that only 4 out of the core 9 within our group are still kicking.
