What to expect from your first author appearance ...

Hey all,
I can now say I have something in common with Stephen King! We've both done book signings at A Barnes & Noble!

That's where the comparison ends. Stephen can just show up with the full knowledge people will be there, ready and waiting.

Me?
It takes some work to get people to show up, and you gotta start somewhere. I'm pleased to say things went awesome, and I recapped the event on my blog.

I of course mention Stephen, but also give a shout-out to his staff, who are some of the folks who monitor these threads! Thanks!

Thanks, all, for reading. And to address a point: Stephen has minions who will appear at his public appearances without much prodding. Me? I'm Italian, and that means I have (thank God) a large family with members who enjoy reading, as do their friends. So it took a few calls and requests from me to measure interest in my event, and fortunately, it went great.
