I'm easy to please, but my daughter, the one I thought wouldn't even come home got me two very thoughtful gifts. One was a Miraculous Medal - my chain had broken on Good Friday, and I lost my medal, so that was sweet and touching that she remembered. And she found this glorious candle that smelled like one we had we she was little. We'd gotten the other at a craft fair and it lasted for a long time, but neither of us have found that scent anywhere - and she found it again. That smell brought back memories of her childhood for both of us - it was so sweet of her to remember.

...nice stories girls...and Renee?...that's what it's all about...I gave Tracy a baseball autographed by her favorite Red's player and crush-Todd Frazier...she cried, in a good way...and that made my day...
Tracy's a Reds fan? Me too! I grew up just across the bridge from Cincinnati and my dad took me to Reds games as often as he could - happy times. Excellent gift Scott! Good thinking! Hey, I'm off to google Todd now and see if he's my kind of Hunk.

...we are both fans of the Queen City club...she got to meet Todd several years ago, during the Reds Caravan-right after he was called up, and she's been smitten since...me? ...I gots the hots for Rosie Red...which is kind of ironic given the sorta SK spin on that...

Got a new flannel shirt with a quilted lining. The old one was looking pretty ragged...looked like a homeless person...but it's still a favorite shirt, collar all frayed, half the buttons missing down the front because of...stuff...paint splotches here and there...as well as some spray-foam insulation residue, hard yellowish substance...musta bumped the discharge at the end of the nozzle...a caulking smear or two. Both shirts, new and old, warm and cozy. Great for taking naps in.

Me too Walt - I love old flannel shirts. The more you wash them the softer they get. They're great for camping when you're sitting around the fire on a chilly summer night.
