Gosh, I think last time I posted on here, I had lost my job and vowed to do nothing but write from that forward. Well, turns out I still needed time to lick my wounds and then life got in the way but it turn out all good.

My daughter recommended that I be of service to others as a sure cure for constant wallowing. So I called up my ex boyfriend from like nine years ago because he always made me laugh. Turns out he was in hospital with kidney failure.

Long story short and one diabetic coma later, he is on the mend and we are back together. The wedding is going to be in the spring.

One of the bonuses of all this is the writing. I am writing again! My boyfriend is very encouraging, not in the "Oh Cupcake, you are such a wonderful writer." But more like "Why are you wasting time on Facebook when you should be writing? Why are you watching TV? Why aren't you writing?" and "Shoo! shoo! Go Write!"

And so I do. And the writing is going well and it feels awesome. I am really trying to develop Mr. King-like writing habits. I just finished a humorous piece about going camping in New Mexico and right now I am working on a speculative fiction piece.

Speaking of Mr. King--loved FINDERS KEEPERS, and am listening to The Bazaar Of Bad Dreams in my car right now. I am also listening to The Library Policeman on my phone when I wash dishes and cook.

I've been lurking for a while but you'll be hearing more from me.

All is well. Especially the writing. I write everyday. I see stories everywhere. I was just in line at Walmart behind and older woman maybe in her 70's with a ton of stuff but the clerk was pretty fast, but this lady was not a cash girl like me or a card swiper like 99.9 percent of the population but a check writer. And so instead of getting impatient with the woman, I listened...the reason why she was so slow writing the check was because she was telling a story. I just heard the tail end but swear to your mother, it was a piece of ghostly grit that Mr. King would nurture into a pearl of a story---so maybe I can too.

Hey All,

I am sitting in the hospital--(boyfriend has a new kidney so we go to the hospital a lot!) My girlfriend and I talk about books often. And even though I have read many books lately, I always talk about my favorite Stephen King stories. Doing that of course makes me think of my folks here. So I decided to stop by and let you know what's going on with me. Not married yet but soon! The real news is I HAVE WRITTEN A NOVEL! Start to finish; beginning, middle and end--the whole tamale! It was awesome and so much fun and early readers say it is very funny! I wrote every day and had a rule not to go to bed until I had written something. Next is the rewrite and wish me luck!
