The Constant Reader group on Facebook can be a bit much at times. It's HUGE and basically rotates newbs asking the same stupid questions every damn day with some fun stuff thrown in by actual constant readers here and there. The strict line about "nothing political" sucks too because that means you can't share actual interviews with Stephen King or discuss like 99% of his Twitter posts. Still, it has its moments. I know I'm the newb here but so far, this is much more my speed. :)

I am not shure if that is the same one I was on one, but I was on the one with like 90,0000 people. And it got to be the same crap over and over and over. I find this one much better, and less bickering. Over their if you state you did not like one book people yell at you it's stupid. Plus we get that stupid screaming lady in the bookstore vedio. It's not funny anymore, please stop posting it every day.

i just joined a few of the groups a couple weeks ago. a couple of them aren't bad. the two run by folks from here are decent enough, one of them is the biggest one i found, and while there is some repeating it hasn't been too bad yet. i also found a third that ostensibly is dedicated to It, but has crosstalk. there was one group i had to leave because the admins were kind of foul. not that i don't use "bad" language, but they were using what's generally considered the worst word constantly for no apparent reason. just shoehorning it into every post, and in the case of one admin, about every comment. no context. not the one that starts with f either. and they were all kind of rude on top of it, so i had to jump that ship. i've heard of this constant readers one before, and in a negative way, but it didn't come up in search so i never joined it lol.

The SKMB is my only 'digital social network'. Other than that I don't own a cell phone or follow any of the new trends. I don't like the fact that a lot of outsider sites force you to login with facebook, or find out more on facebook, which means I would have to create an account and falsely prop up the share value. I wonder how many one time use accounts and stagnant accounts there are on facebook!

  • Something strange just happened over at Facebook, it might be nothing, but, 3 members from here who rarely ever are active there, all showed up together in the 'currently online' column. One being Patindahat, one being one of our Eternal members, and the other our lovely Miss Moderator . Oddly there was no 'light' on by them or 'login time'.

  • I just had this worry that someone may have or be trying to hack into them only because they all showed up together there and are not usually active, and then they all disappeared. :Oo: I know you guys may have logged in and someones family member may also have but I wanted to let everyone know just in case .
I'm alerting Jordan about this as he takes care of the Facebook page. I definitely was not logged on then.

I'm confused. The people were active on Facebook or the message board?

Thank you Miss Mod :smile2: I see it was confusing for him too how there is no direct access between there and here. I don't understand it either. When I saw you there I thought Ahhh Miss Mod was on! and then, I noticed the one above yours and thought uh oh, and then the third one appeared beneath it :icon_eek: which I had grabbed a screen shot of, its

The only thing I can think of is to change our passwords on there so that if someone has managed access it would shut them out. Its just weird how all are members from here , but yet there is no known way to be linked to each other as such from over there, escpecially to a random facebook hacker. :Oo:

We can do what my daughter does and make STRONG passwords like this, (excluding 1 number) .... Ball5Dashstraw17439berryChoco7late eventually requiring too much additional memory like where we have put it.

honestly it could just be facebook glitching. facebook can do a lot of weird things at times. for instance, it will send game requests from people who are definitely not currently playing that game.

It sure could be, its hard to know when the site is loaded with both glitches and hackers. I recently received friend request from another member here who was already on my friend list, he was 'active' quite often there, and so I screenshotted everything for him and he had the page shut down, but they pretty much assumed his identity through cloning his information and photos.

recently, i've been getting friend requests daily from, shall we say, "loose women" . . . who are probably some loser hacker of the male persuasion who, while probably having some talents, apparently has nothing better to do than bug people with stupid profiles that are so glaringly obvious that they get shut down within an hour. it can be annoying at times. but the internet is a grand and wondrous wasteland of wasted talent and a display of humanities baser issues no matter where you go, so i just roll with it.
