Hello, and Salutations!! I know sister used to be a large portion of her free time on a Stephen King Forum but not sure if its this one.. For my birthday a few years ago she bought me the Dark Tower books, but never got round to reading them til now... Just finished The Dark Tower, and i'm pretty much speechless!! Wow!! Just hope the upcoming film/films will do the books justice!! I know as much that the Dark Man features in some way, shape or form in most SK books, but having not read any others, i'm looking for suggestions of what to read next... Unfortunately little Sammy is no longer with us so not able to go to her for advice.. Any suggestions or advice would be very gratefully received.
Many Thanks in advance.

Thanks everyone.. I will go with The Stand I think. I have read some book reviews and that is up there with the best.. I was thinking of The Talisman & Black House as well maybe.

Also for the kind words. Time is a great healer, and I'm at the point now that I remember our times with a great smile.. and just a touch of sadness. One summer I took her on a weekend trip to New York, she dragged me to a fountain at Dag Hammarskjold Plaza by the Plaza Park Hyatt which had a bronze turtle sculpture on it... she read for a couple of hours and kept her little secret to herself..
Didn't ask her why it was so important to her, but it all makes sense now.

Quite looking forward to the books ahead of me, lots and lots of reading to get through..

The Darkside of the Moon (England really)
The stand is a good choice - it's a mainstay in most people's top 5. Excuse my bluntness but in the stand Flagg is not the
pussy that his easy demise at the hands (or mind) of mordred in the dark tower series
would have us believe.

Sorry to hear about your sister, it's nice that her gift has brought you to a place she liked with people she liked. Hope you stick around, you're more than welcome.

Hello Jenna! Welcome to the forum.

The Stand is a solid starting choice, although I have yet to read it. I however, would recommend you to read: Salem's Lot and The Green Mile.
