You don't need to apologize. You have never seemed that way. And I honestly don't think it's ALL Americans. :)

As for Romper Room...she never called my name. Didn't take me long to realize she always said the more common names....like Michael and Donna. My name was not very common then. You could never find things like bracelets and stuff with Anna on it....so when I realized she only called out common names, I knew she would never call mine.
My mom's name was Anna so it's always been a favorite of mine.

LMAO...it is true...according to my brother who lives in Texas. Most Americans do not think outside their own backyard. We know more about the rest of the world in Canada...apparently....but do not hold me to that. I could be dumb as a cup of water, lovey.
I disagree that most Americans don't think about the rest of the world. No one I know personally is ignorant and insensitive about world events. I do think that the rest of the world tends to hold a low opinion of America and Americans. I won't go into what I believe the reason for that is.

I do not really believe that blunt. That is what my brother said. Some of the greatest minds have come from the States.

I believed that if you swallowed a watermelon seed, it would grow in your belly.
I looked at pregnant women feeling sorry for them.
I used to think the same thing. I was told that the womwn gets a seed from the man and also that if you ate a watermelon seed it would growin your belly and put two wnd two together and got five. I was very wary of who I took a piece of watermelon from.

Thank you, staro. The great minds are always human, and so always come from all over the planet. I guess I've always fervently disliked criticisms of people which are obviously based on personal bias as opposed to fact. But you see how you wrote your post. It looks like your own statement.

The world is filled with people who are ignorant, uninformed and can't see past the end of their respective noses! No country has a monopoly. I didn't take Staro's post as meaning anything other than one of the interesting and funny things she usually posts.
