In my way I know just what you mean. I didn't realize, though I could've guessed had I been thinking, that mods might feel like this. There've been a number of times I've taken a post here personally when I should not have. I'm just always hugely concerned that I might be alienating myself with you guys--the other moderators might also know what I mean--it's sometimes really hard to do the job and still also just be the friend.
You guys and this place mean so much to me.
I used to spend time in a couple of Facebook Stephen King groups. I heard tell of some strife. I was surprised and disappointed. I am also surprised that some who were SKMB regulars now prefer Facebook. I use Facebook, but less nowadays and mostly just when there's not much happening at SKMB, such as when it's the middle of the night here. (I'm not complaining; I'm glad when the Board and the mods get some rest.)Yes, talking about facebook. Sorry if that was unclear.
I often think about the people who have gone todash, but don't often think enough about all the wonderful new people who have joined the board. And at one point, we were all new people on the board.
I love the noobs and the fact that there have been so many, and that they've been joining for a long time now, like ever since the new Board started. One expects a percentage of noobs to todash and some have, but lots have stayed and some fine examples too, I might add.
It sucks that a few of my old favorites have disappeared but we do have plenty of newer members that are awesome. So, it's all good.
...oh heavens sake NO! Flake you are one of our blithe spirits and add SO much levity and love to our daily interaction here...the problem lies not with us, but with those who refuse to compromise or learn new things...
...also, I agree about the new members...old friends have fallen into the maw of the Interweb, but we have welcomed in some special "fresh" folk...I meant them no disrespect, just spoke from my heart over those I had grown-I thought-close to....

I have never been the the Sk FB page - and now I sure don't want to. That surprises me that our Tet would act like that.
