Glad I'm not on FB otherwise I'd be having a paranoia outbreak, too. :D

But...I also miss some of the old guys and gals. I guess the big problem with the switch was that a lot of threads and conversations just stopped. I jumped across, but one look at all the empty space and how few discussions there were seemed limiting to me: here was a lovely big canvas but I'd run out of paint. Actually...better than that...I felt pretty much as I tend to at the start of a new story. There was all that white and a blinking cursor. I could feel the thoughts swirling around in my head, hear the voices of characters and sense the shape of ideas. The words were poised in mind and fingertips, seeking only the conduit of keys to take their proper form and sense...and yet they remained locked away, screaming. The tyranny of the blank screen.
So I went away for a while. Around about a year, maybe a bit longer, as I recall. When I came back...well, it was the same place but a bit different, like leaving your family home then going back sometime later, after your parents have swung the furniture around and redecorated the walls.
Some of the old familiar faces were gone. Some returned, some didn't, but there were new arrivals to get to know (to whom, of course, I was the new arrival), and it was and is still a good place to be.

I have never been the the Sk FB page - and now I sure don't want to. That surprises me that our Tet would act like that.

I had joined one back when the SK message board was closed weekends. And then there were two groups. And I was very uncomfortable at times....so I left both. I do have a few people I met here on my FB friend list. Two of them pop in here occasionally.

I'm glad the message board is now open weekends, and I think all our mods do excellent job. It's not always easy, especially when you are also enjoying being an active member, but I think you all do it very well.

I was in one for a while, but left. Some of the crudity of the language was over the top, along with members infighting, and also the same questions and topics coming up over and over again,I began to wonder if some of the people had read any of the sk library.
