Regardless, thanks, all for the kind words and wishes. Sorry I didn't say anything sooner, just sort of a private person when it comes to this sort of thing-- nobody knows but a few close friends and my immediate family. Thank you all, again, for the kind messages and thoughts and prayers.
For those who don't know, I was seeing a neurologist regularly from November till April or so, for spots in my brain that was causing abnormal pressure on the optic nerve in my right eye. As it turns out, the tumor was/is malignant and there's been some spreading of cancer.
As I said, I'm a private and shy person-- I've never been able to make too many friends online just because I'm so introverted and more content to read others' thoughts than post my own. Typing this out is painful enough for me.
I am in only a little pain most of the time. Sometimes a lot of pain and sometimes no pain at all. Doctor says chances are on my side because of my age and health.

Had my first round of treatment today. Went well. Was mostly me in a room by myself (and, occasionally, some other people)for a few hours. Not the most fun time in the world, but it'll be worth it! I've been pretty tired/weak the rest of the day, but I feel okay as of this moment. Just very tired. Thanks again for all the comments. I love you all.

Just ran across a post from Champ. Still missing. Last time we heard in March? He was going on his first trip to NYC from England.
Be well Achtung Cody... blaze through those treatments, I believe you can... it'll be done and through soon enough.... a little endurance goes a long way...

Hi morgan - well that is the funny thing - they just send up a standard diet without worrying about stuff like that, apparently. He said he could not drink it (ulcer or not) as it tasted so bad.
He requested tea but I think by the time the paperwork got down to the hospital food services he was ready to go home anyway. It is a good thing they have a Tim Horton's there so I could get him some nice hot tea and a muffin or biscuit.
Andy is on Pantoloc now - it looks like he will need this for awhile until the ulcer heals up.
