First of all, I apologize for not giving a heads-up about being away. You people mean far too much to me to have done something like that.

First, there was some major doings at my job and none of it was for the good. Suffice it to say that I'm lucky to still have a job after what went down last week. After taking a three day "vacation" from there I'm ready to try my best to put what has transpired behind me. Uncertainty is going to be a player for the time being I'm afraid....

Second, the flu decided to visit Mrs. Out of Order on Friday last and now is trying its best to work its fingers into me. Because of her surgery in Nov. she never had a flu shot, but I had one and now am coming down with the worst cold I've had in many years. And I HAD the shot!! I want a refund........LOL. I'm getting very good at playing nurse and my chicken soup is to die for.....(right CAT?):D The Mrs. is doing much better now and she was worried for a time about some lower abdominal pain from all the coughing that she was doing, but everything looks good. She's had a nice case of laryngitis since Sunday and I'm enjoying all the quiet...Gosh, I'm such a shyt......

Lastly, we had computer/internet issues at home. I rarely do as a rule anyway, but felt bad for not being able to check in from home (and give you all my cold..........;;D). Fairpoint is not high on my list of best companies in the US at the moment.

I hesitated about posting my problems out in the open because I don't wish to come across as a whiner or be a burden to you fine people I'm fortunate enough to interact with.

Now............who is melting the Velveeta!

You would never be considered a burden or a whiner here. I'm sorry to hear all you were going through last week but relieved that you and Mrs. OoO are (mostly) okay and very glad to have you back again. :cheerful:

Healing vibes (and soup :D) for the icky cold for both you and Mrs. OoO and positive vibes for the job situation. (Do you want me to come up there and give the someone responsible for upsetting you what-for? ;))

And what our wise Spidey said. You are family and we worry when you're away! Never a burden at all. Sharing burdens is one of the things we are best at. Ka-tet.

Hush, you whiner!;;D

All kidding aside, we did miss you and knew that something (or in this case, several somethings) weren't right in your world. Hope you and the Mrs. are soon to be done with the sickness and wishing you peace with the job issues. Never a good thing to deal with, even when all else is calm.

Now, I'm not sure about the Velveeta (I prefer Cheez Whiz, myself) but I plan on making mucho chicken wings for the weekend!!:encouragement::cool2:

Add my name to the list of those who are relieved to know that you are still amongst us mere mortals. I was going to say 'doing okay', but from what you posted your life is somewhat in turmoil right now. Sending calming vibes your way. Take care of the Mrs. and yourself!!!!

I'm very relieved to hear from you! Sending healing vibes to you both and also my very best wishes... I hope the job situation settles down soon, it's so frightening. (I understand that situation, my partners boss is threatening to shut his doors every few months... we're both trying to find work, but it isn't easy.) (((Triple and Mrs. O))) xox

I know what you mean - I feel like I'm always whining, complaining, oversharing - but here is where I say the things I can't say anywhere else. I gotta button up, put on a happy face, be a shiny girl. Here I can mope and whine and be myself - and even if you're rolling your eyes at me or if you just roll on by my posts, I know you all got my back. And that's how we all feel about you.

Feel better, and don't share your germs. Glad Mrs. O is on the mend. Best wishes on the work issue - those can suck mightily.

I melted some velveeta today. Our fridge died and whilst awaiting the repair person there are only so many food things that don't have to be refrigerated. Velveeta is one. I make a mean grilled cheese.
