Hi Holly, I was away from the computer but, other than that, I've been leading quite an unremarkable life! The wife has been sick for a long while now and is awaiting surgery. It was supposed to be by end of July or early August but has now been postponed until Sept/Oct (who knows). Hopefully sooner than later. I've been working on a book for the last while and with perseverance and a good work ethic I have about 250 pages left to read. One interesting thing comes to mind. I was out camping with my grandson and, just on the edge of our campsite, there was what looked to be a stuffed crow sitting on a branch of a tree. I stared for a bit and he didn't move. After we set up the tent and camp I noticed it again in exactly the same state and position. I was walking to take a closer look when all of a sudden another crow landed beside the first one and cawed at it a few times. The first crow weakly cawed back and I thought it was either sick or old. It seemed old. A third crow joined the first two with food in it's beak and proceeded to feed the old or sick crow. It amazed me to see crows take care of their sick or elderly. I pointed this out to my grandson and we both watched this unfold. I told him that is natures way and I'd be coming to live with him when I was older and he had to take care of me. He never knows if I'm kidding or not (and that's just the way I like it). We went hiking and when we came back the crows were gone. Oh yeah, one more thing I thought of...they were three days late picking up my recycling last week. The whole household was thrown for a loop. All the best, mal.
HOpefully your wife will get her surgery and feel great!

Welcome back, mal ! That crow story was really interesting. I love crows, and that is so fascinating to know they have relationships with each other like that. I'll be keeping your wife in my thoughts and prayers, and hoping she recovers quickly. :)
Thank you very much Anduan Pirate Princess. I will share with her all of the wonderful support she has out there. All the best, mal.

Thanks Dana Jean. She's a trooper. The hardest part is getting her to feed me and do laundry when she's especially sick. :a24:

Well damn her. Doesn't she know a boy's got to eat and look top drawer? jk;;D
And this is why I love this place!

Adding my good wishes for her speedy recovery, so she can get back to taking care of you!;-D Love the camping story. :love_heart:
