could you explain the difference to "akin to" and "associate with" for me so I can better give an answer.

i would say 'akin' to is who you're most like.... where as 'Be' would be if you could be any of them, even someone who isn't like you at all.

'associate with' would be someone who you understand or feel for even though it's not a character you would choose to be or who you even associate with.

Am i making any sense? LOL

associate with would be Rose Daniels.
Who would I be? hmmm, Susannah Dean -- not the schizo part, although all of these personalities are what make her, her. But she's a kick azz woman who knows what she wants and knows how to get it and how to take care of herself and stick up for herself. She's strong.
Who am I most like in real life? cujo

Interesting questions!

...who would you be? If I could choose to be anyone I would be.... I have no idea! No one, probably. Maybe Erin from Joyland?
or
....who do you feel most akin to? This one I really don't know. Maybe Louis Creed from Pet Sematary. I would do anything for my family to not die!
or
.....who do you most closely associate with or feel for? I feel most empathetic for the Trashcan Man in the Stand.

I have always felt a closeness to Carrie White, as I was bullied for all 4 years of high school and also suffered an incident in the gym showers somewhat akin to Carrie being pelted with tampons (though in my case it was a tad more nasty). I don't need to go into details though.
(I can't believe I actually just wrote this and hit "post." I've never told anyone about this).

Man, when I was an angsty teenager I would have loved to just be the Trashcan Man for a day. Doing what he loves to do with no thought to consequence.

At another point in my life I felt more like Danny Torrance. I survived an abusive alcoholic father and other horrible things in my childhood. My gifts helped me crawl up out of the ashes of my youth.
