Ocean City, Maryland is about a 7-8 minute drive from me! Wish I had known you back when you lived here.

Thanks, I wish we had stayed there longer. My mom was on the move in those days pretty often, we were in Maryland less then 2 years. I liked it though, spent alot of time running around on the boardwalk, they had a really huge haunted house on it that I heard isn't there anymore.

I have fond memories of OC......... Baltimore, on the other hand, not so much.

My real name is Anthony. I'm Italian & Spanish, originally from Philadelphia.Growing up. I also lived in Baltimore & Ocean City, Maryland, Wilmington Delaware & Several places in New Jersey. I currently reside in Tampa Florida, where I attended the University of South Florida and have stayed since not counting a failed relocation to Fort Lauderdale that lasted less then a year .I Am 31, divorced, have a daughter, Ahava, who lives in New Jersey. I work for ADT security doing installations on Wireless systems, a job that pays well but is currently killing me with hours (Last 3 weeks have hovered around 60 ; we are shorthanded). Prior to that, I worked as a bartender for several years. I listen to mostly hard rock/Heavy Metal, played basketball in high school and still try to on occasion when time allows. Have been single for the last few years and I don't think I've ever been as relaxed and stress free as I am right now in life. Recently moved to the nicest apartment I've ever lived in, although my work schedule is keeping me from enjoying it much. I love animals and have 2 dogs and 2 cats.

I think that sums it up more or less. Pleased to meet you.

When I was 19 I lived in Ocean City for the summer. Wonderful memories! =D

Ghost, 17 years in Law Enforcement, most of those years in the intelligence division. Married for 19 years with a ten year old son who is much cooler than I can ever hope to be. Married to a lady I couldn't tie my shoes without. I curse too much and have a weakness for Irish whiskey, but only when I'm out with the guys.....the cursing I mean, not the whiskey...or maybe both......lifelong Stephen King fan. There's a lot of cool people on this board, enjoy the company....now where'd GNT go?....I bet he took the cookies.......
...you lying bastid!...I didn't take them-I ATE em right in front of you! Law Enforcement Intelligence-oxymoron:D...anyway, I'm 53...married to my beloved for nearly 21 years and needs a commendation from the President for putting up with my dumb-azz...I currently am employed by the State of Ohio Department of Rehabilitation & Correction as a Registered Nurse in a Medium Security men's prison...also, I've been in radio for 35 years. My wife is a customer service manager at an auto service facility, three kids-a daughter that works at a family run business, my youngest is a Senior in High School and my oldest boy is my warrior-an MP in the US Army. I love guns, Jeeps, classic Mopars and COOKIES. Stephen King and Dean Koontz are my favorite authors. Oh yeah, I think Gumby is an agent of the CIA.....

Hi! I live in the UK. I work hard for a living. Been with my husband and we have an 11 year old boy (it was his birthday Thursday). I love spending time with them both. Sometimes, often really, I say thank you for the life I live. Rock music is my favourite to listen to. We own a '67 Mustang convertible, and a 73 Ford Capri and we like to go out cruising and to car shows. Been a fan of King since I was about 14 I guess (now 42).

Favourite King book... IT
King book I turn to at least once a year IT.
I also adore his collections of shorter stories.

I love it here. :)

A '73 Capri? That would be a MK1 wouldn't it?

I haven't seen one of those in years. My stepbrother had a green one way back when.

Karl. 41. Not married, not single either (to use the old phrase, we "live in sin"...'cept there's nowt sinful about it). British, as you can probably tell.
I'm a writer/editor these days, but I've been an accounts clerk, (mostly) semi-pro footballer (soccer player) and soldier (part-time) in the dim and distant past. I've been published a few times but I almost guarantee you won't have heard of me.
Hobbies: Reading, watching films and TV (SF, horror, historical/science docs, other stuff that seems remotely interesting), sport (football - US and proper  - snooker, pool, darts, golf). Exercising bores me rigid even with a good book and/or music so it's not really a hobby, but I do it anyway - as little as possible, but I do it. Music-wise, I'm a bit weird: I prefer 90s indie and grunge, but I also own a fair bit of 80s synth stuff, 70s rock and heavy metal, 80's rock like Guns 'n' Roses, and pretty much nothing that's from later than 2004.

First SK book: Insomnia (was damn near almost my last, too).
Favourite SK book: Bag of Bones
Sentimental favourite: I've got to say Misery, because it was the first book my gf got me when she discovered I was a Stephen King fan, and I didn't have the heart to tell her I already had it.
How would one go about reading what you'vre written?

I didn't know they made the Capri in the states.

A '73 would be a MK1. How many versions of the Capri were made in the states?
No Matt, "Cologne built" means it was made in Germany.... It was imported over to the States. We imported it from the States. As GNTLGNT said, it's a head scratcher, importing a car from the States that is fundamentally a British car, to the UK. :) :)

Oh, right, now I'm with you. I didn't think they made the Capri in the US.

I really can't remember the last time I saw a MK1 Capri. They must be as rare as hen's teeth these days.

My name is Jacob Long. I am from Mobile, Alabama. I am an Assistant Manager at a fast food restaurant (Sonic Drive-In) by day and an anime-addicted blogger at night. One I do for money and the other I do for love. I am 24 years old and have only been in the workforce for three years. I sometimes joke that I'm one of the most unsociable sociable people ever. I like making people laugh and joking around, but I mostly stick to myself and watch anime and read manga. I'm such a nerd.

Of course, I love movies, books, sports, and tunes, too. I love talking about them... and, ahem, blogging about them. I said I was a nerd, right?

My first Stephen King novel was The Shining.
My favorite Stephen King novel is probably IT. That's the only book where I honestly felt like I could flip back to page one right after I finished it and read it again. Of course, my opinions seem to change over time, but more and more I think IT is it.
My sentimental favorite Stephen King novel is probably The Dark Half.

Good question. A quick nose around tells me that all bar one of the things my stuff's been in are now out of print.
I've been kicking a couple of ideas around for a while anyway. 1) Get a website (which seems a bit like wanting to buy a mansion because you've got £10 spare), or (more likely) 2) pull a bunch of short stories together and release a collection via Amazon/Smashwords.
I'll work something out and post in the Self-Promo forum.

(And humble thanks for the interest. :smile2:)

47, married 24 of those years. 4 kids (almost 21, 18, nearly 16, 8). Love movies, music, books, wine, coffee, hiking, walking, biking, and popcorn (in no particular order). I write when I have time, mainly women's lit, and I finally figured out why: it's an antidote to what I read and watch most often (serious literature/drama, dystopias, horror). If at no other time, I can always make things come out right and light at the end. :) Political science/history were my major/minor, and history still fascinates me: what is it but a bunch of stories? Catholic, after a lot of years of discernment, but not dogmatic. I believe we have a mind for a reason. Tend liberal on social matters, conservative on economic matters, but I don't claim any particular party. Be Kind is my life motto.

First Stephen King? I think it was Night Shift, way back in about 1979. I've read everything since (most multiple times), usually at a scandalous rate and as soon as it's published. Don't love everything (the alien books bore me, and I despise The Regulators), but Mr. King has my undying loyalty for his devotion to creating characters who behave and speak believably, even in the most fantastic situations.

Favourite SK: The Stand? Wizard and Glass? One of those
Sentimental favorite: Different Seasons.

Oooh, I forgot to mention I love politics. I'm not so good at discussing specific situations, but discussing positions/beliefs etc always interests me. I'd say I'm socially moderate, maybe a teeny bit liberal, as I agree with some points from both sides, but probably more liberal.

Economics is the side of politics that I find more interesting and am more .....opinionated on. I'll just say that at school people compare me to Chairman Mao. Bit of an exaggeration, but I'll leave it at that.
