Scrolled down and saw "Newbies Start Here" and realized... I did not start here. Many apologies.

My name is Morgan, I am person who enjoys any and all creative pursuits. The problem with this is I never have enough time to dedicate to any one particular thing. I work for a business that assists writers, we do editing, proofing, formatting, creating query letters for novel submission to literary agents and publishers. We help with self-publishing, author website creation, you name it and I do it. It's a great job, especially for someone like me who has grown up with a fierce love of books and have been writing since I was very young. I've had the fortune to see a few of my short fiction stories published in a couple decent literary journals, and it gives me hope for the future. I am working on my first book right now, and re-reading all the King novels gives me that creative boost to throw away my self-doubt and just do it. I scoured "On Writing" religiously recently.

My first King book was "Desperation", however if I had to pick a favorite I'd say "The Long Walk" is my favorite King novel. Outside of Stephen King my favorite poet is T.S. Eliot (which makes me love book #3 of the Dark Tower series all the more, and there are many references to Eliot throughout King's work). Another favorite author of mine is Haruki Murakami, but he writes some pretty weird work. I guess I just like weird? I'll read just about anything but my top 3 fiction genres are horror, science fiction, and historical fiction (particularly historical fiction set in and around Japan and China).

In my spare time (what little I have of it) I do photography semi-professionally, I love attending concerts my favorite genre of music is heavy metal. I've played guitar now for over 10 years (about the same time I started getting into King ironically) and have worked as a guitar teacher, have performed guitar, I consider myself pretty decent with the instrument. I also draw and am quite capable with Photoshop when it comes to creating custom book covers for clients, as well as website creation. Jack of all trades, master of none as they say. I love far too many things and never have enough time for all of them. I'm a very friendly type and so if you ever wish to send me a message of any sort feel free. If you wish to read my work, see my photography, just ask. I won't post any unsolicited because I feel like that'd just be obnoxious and no one likes those obnoxious creatives who spew their work across the net like a plague ;) lol
