Well, I suppose I shouldn't call myself a bad person, but I don't think I'm good enough to deserve this lucky break.

The rest of this post contains information (pictures) that members who don't want to know anything about End of Watch may not want to view. Proceed with caution.

Guess what the mailman brought today! A brand new, hot of the press copy of the third and final installment in the Bill Hodges Trilogy. Why, I'm sure you ask yourself, why did he bring it today, so many days before June 7? I ask myself the very same question. I don't think he was supposed to, or rather, the online bookstore I bought it from wasn't supposed to dispatch it last Friday, but they did anyway.

I subscribe to notifications for when books I'm interested in become available, and on Wednesday or Thursday last week, I got an email telling my End of Watch was now available for purchase. I went to the store and expected to find that it was in fact available for pre-order, not purchase, and even after I had placed my order and received a confirmation email, I continued to expect I would have to wait until June 7, like everybody else. Don't ask me why or who made a mistake, but sometime during the weekend I got an SMS telling me a parcel was on its way to me, and, as people say when they are not Stephen King and don't know how to neatly conclude their little tirade: The rest is history. Or in this case, photos to drool over.

Finally, on a more serious note: I suppose I am now in possession of an inadvertently leaked copy, which I have to admit is kind of cool (it also instantly connected me to my inner child, which explains why I allow myself to use words like "kind of cool") but taking advantage of somebody's mistake would be very uncool, so I will not breath a word about the plot, the characters, or anything else before the official release date. I leave that to those who have legitimate access to advance copies.

Apparently you can still order it. It now says "Will ship within 2-5 working days". Perhaps you would like to get in touch with them? It is a Swedish site, but I'm sure they will reply to an email written in English. I will find their contact information for you and post it in this thread shortly.
