No wine for me. I saw a dietician and (I hate to spoil the party!) but he is recommending more skim milk and plain or sparkling water to keep me hydrated. We haven't talked about wine lately. What's in your glass tonight?
Here's mine

And my whine
More ice coming our way tomorrow. I fully expect the kids to be out of school Thursday, possibly let out early tomorrow. We don't get lovely snow, we get freezing rain.
Never trust a doctor who says "no wine!" Poor Neesy!!!No wine for me. I saw a dietician and (I hate to spoil the party!) but he is recommending more skim milk and plain or sparkling water to keep me hydrated.
Ugh- the kids love it, but I know I'd rather be home on a glorious sunny day than an icy can't go anywhere or do anything day. Sleep in!My whine is I have no wine. : (
Whine #2: West Ky is supposed to get 1 inch sleet and 6 to 10 inches snow. UGH. I won't have to work, but I'll be teaching in June. UGH.
Well he is not a doctor, just an RD - Registered Dietician. He did say that 80% of the time I should stick to healthy eating but around 20% of the time I could indulge myself occasionally e.g. now and then, I like a wee nip of Baileys in my coffee on a special occasion.Never trust a doctor who says "no wine!" Poor Neesy!!!

My uncle is a physician and always encourages my mom to drink wine. I used to work a second job at a liquor store a few years ago, and saw soooooooo many doctors buying wine (and scotch, and...).Never trust a doctor who says "no wine!" Poor Neesy!!!
...I read your post WAY to quickly!!...I coulda swore you said, you'd worked at a "second hand liquor store"....My uncle is a physician and always encourages my mom to drink wine. They serve this as a house wine at a few restaurants in town. I like their cabernet and merlot.Black Box
I like wine, but I'm not a snob, either. If I like the taste, it's good enough for me. I agree on the Coppola, though--I've yet to get a bad bottle of any vintage (though I'm partial to the diamond red blend). We have a box of malbec and a box of chardonnay at the moment. Grandma prefers the white, I prefer the red.
My cardiologist said, "Have wine every night if you want. Wine's good for you."
We don't have refined tastes. Yellowtail, Barefoot, Black Box - most of that stuff is just fine. We don't do the Franzias and Sutter Homes and such. That falls under our line.
If we're looking for a more refined wine, Parducci and Coppola are a go-to. For a white wine, one of our favorites is Chateau St. Jean fume blanc. It's more expensive than the discount wines, but it tastes like it should cost 10 or 20 bucks more. Good stuff.
This is very old thread - I went looking for label suggestions - I'm going to try Coppola this weekend! I've wondered about it.
I've been on a red kick - someone gave me a bottle of Apothic Wine Maker's blend - red. Oooh. It was so good - so I put aside the whites for a while. Then I found Woodbridge Cabernet - it's very nearly perfect. But I like to try a new label on do nothing Fridays.
