We haven't talked about wine lately. What's in your glass tonight?

And my whine
More ice coming our way tomorrow. I fully expect the kids to be out of school Thursday, possibly let out early tomorrow. We don't get lovely snow, we get freezing rain.
No wine for me. I saw a dietician and (I hate to spoil the party!) but he is recommending more skim milk and plain or sparkling water to keep me hydrated.

:disgust::(

Never trust a doctor who says "no wine!" Poor Neesy!!!
Well he is not a doctor, just an RD - Registered Dietician. He did say that 80% of the time I should stick to healthy eating but around 20% of the time I could indulge myself occasionally e.g. now and then, I like a wee nip of Baileys in my coffee on a special occasion.

We have a box of malbec and a box of chardonnay at the moment. Grandma prefers the white, I prefer the red.

My cardiologist said, "Have wine every night if you want. Wine's good for you."

We don't have refined tastes. Yellowtail, Barefoot, Black Box - most of that stuff is just fine. We don't do the Franzias and Sutter Homes and such. That falls under our line.

If we're looking for a more refined wine, Parducci and Coppola are a go-to. For a white wine, one of our favorites is Chateau St. Jean fume blanc. It's more expensive than the discount wines, but it tastes like it should cost 10 or 20 bucks more. Good stuff.

Usually don't drink wine...we had two bottles this past year...finished this one last night. The two bottles we had were gifts from others, one a customer of mine and the other a customer where my wife works. This one is made in Michigan...my wife didn't like it but I did. Don't remember what the other wine was but of the two we had, I liked this one more. FWIW.

I like wine, but I'm not a snob, either. If I like the taste, it's good enough for me. I agree on the Coppola, though--I've yet to get a bad bottle of any vintage (though I'm partial to the diamond red blend).

This is very old thread - I went looking for label suggestions - I'm going to try Coppola this weekend! I've wondered about it.
I've been on a red kick - someone gave me a bottle of Apothic Wine Maker's blend - red. Oooh. It was so good - so I put aside the whites for a while. Then I found Woodbridge Cabernet - it's very nearly perfect. But I like to try a new label on do nothing Fridays.

We've pretty much liked everything we've tried from Coppola. St. Jean Chateau is another good one.

Black Cellar Pinot Grigio Chardonnay is one of the bottles in my wine rack.

Also have:

I like Sauvignon Blanc

This is the third bottle:

That third bottle is/was covered in dust (ooops) so I wiped it off and put it back.

I also have some Portuguese wine in the fridge, unopened. It's a vinho verdi

One of these days I really should open one of these bottles!
