What's happening? This same thing is going on at prince.org too. People are on edge. Why?
That's what I meant, I didn't see anything remotely rude, maybe slightly snarky but there was a smiley after the comment, so perhaps it was meant to take the sting out of anything taken or implied.. I don't know just seems like much ado about not a lot,but I could be wrong.. Hate to see anybody feeling bad here or that they need to leave.

I don't see where NN did anything wrong myself. Or did I miss something?

Dana Jean mentioned earlier that a post was reported by another member, so a moderator looked into it. People may be confused about the way this played out, but what many folks might not know is that there has been a history and an issue between a couple of individuals and as with all situations such as this on the MB, (there are more issues/situations than people might realise) moderators try to head trouble off before things escalate if they can.
As Dana Jean has mentioned before (and as we also see from comments that followed) there are times when messages are misconstrued. But because we also see a lot of passive-aggressive posting, (particularly with the political climate like it currently is) moderators need to look a little closer to ensure that folks are not just going after someone, because it does happen... far more often than people might realise.

not_nadine and Dana Jean have been speaking about the above incident, they have worked things out between themselves.
Folks need to remember that when a mod steps in, it might be for a reason not immediately apparent to you, because you may not have all of the information.

I just thought of another favorite phrase of his: "Tough titty, said the kitty."
I laugh every time I read this phrase......it was a favored saying in our family if we got too whiney about something, one of the older kids, or sometimes even grandma would say "well, tough titty said the kitty, but the milk's still good"......:biggrin-new:

Just for the record, I just read not_nadine's reply and I took no offense. I guess my post was misunderstood. Everyone knows that "half a dozen" is six, but that is not what I meant and is besides the point.
I have read all of SK's books except for the few that are waiting for me on the shelf, and it seems funny to me that whenever King refers to an amount of things or people that are not relevant to the story, he always goes by the dozens and half a dozens. He does not waste time on specific quantities. But...it strikes me as funny, because it is more likely for them to be in different amounts.
That is all. And I guess I need to change my profile because it is quite outdated.
