My Godchild got married and moved to NZ. She now has 2 children with the most adorable accents.
Her mother skypes and travels there as much as she can.

My sister has been there. She said, "SHEEP" !!!! They block the road, and stare at ya!. Then you think your safe, and look in rearview mirror ..
and they are still staring at ya!

Before retiring from the navy, my dad traveled the world. He said his very favorite place was New Zealand. He said the people were so friendly and the scenery was spectacular.

Speaking just of the south island, which is where we mostly were, it could be the prettiest country in the world. Really good-natured people. Ran into just a few sketchy types, and it wasn't a little colder natured in Auckland. Ireland holds a place in my heart as having the most friendliest, hospitable people anywhere.

Okay, going back a couple pages - and tease Flakesie all you want about NZ and bathrooms, but NZ B&Bs is the one place where I consistently had towel racks that doubled as towel heaters. How cool is that? You talk about Kiwi bathrooms anytime, and I have nothing but nice memories.
Many Italian hotels have them. And bidets. Gotta love 'em both!
