Oh yeah, if I was single, I'd never date a guy with kids (with or without a living ex). Other people's kids just get on my nerves.
Heck, even my own kids get on my nerves!
People here tend to have kids young, married or unmarried. If they do get married, they're often divorced by 25, so if you don't want to deal with other people's kids the dating pool is small once someone gets out of college. That was a surprisingly big part of why my youngest brother moved out of state--lol. I love kids, but I can only think of one instance where a mixed family has really worked (without living with rose-colored glasses 24/7), and that is a case where the bio dad skipped the state and had absolutely NO desire to have anything to do with his daughter. I wouldn't do it, and I've advised my older kids to give such a situation a lot of thought before they get involved.

Your replies are the reason I ask questions. We look at things in a different way.

My first thought on asking a pregnant woman for a date was, "No." Why?

A baby is a huge responsibility. Emotionally, psychologically, and financially. A responsibility that lasts at least 18-22 years. (Don't quote me on the last one.) And things can go to he!! in an instant.

I just don't see myself getting involved in it. I have enough pain and sorrow.

Thank you!

I would only ask a pregnant woman for a date if she had a jumbo sized bag of them (say - enough to make date squares). Otherwise I would let her have all of them - she needs the calories for the baby

No. My sisters, friends, co-workers, they're all the same when they get knocked up: you go out with them and buy them food, yet they still always want some of yours. So, NO.:0:
Ohhh, so she can't nibble from your plate if she's hungry enough?
too bad Steffan, you had promise. (the reader should be aware that the previous comment was made entirely in jest, with no implied derogatory or insulting insinuation attached. The qoutor, hereby referred to as Steffan, maintains said promise insofar as he does not substitute it for butter, ever.)

Date squares . . do you have any idea how long that took me to puzzle out? At least twenty seconds. I was thinking of a game show.

I would ask a pregnant woman on a date.

Stef doesn't share food! Especially if it's sweet potato fries.

Now I am hungry

p.s. They call Date Squares "Matrimonial Squares" here in Winnipeg which I find strange as I came from Toronto

I love date squares!
