That's funny, some friends and I were at a restaurant last night talking about tap-dancing, about Gregory Hines and a recording he did with bass player Stanley Clarke and his role in the movie Wolfen ..... wait... that was supposed to be a joke? I totally miss context, or grab it and run with it way past the point of reasonableness or no-return...

I think I have that character name right. Wasn't he the one who got paid to send killer emails to people?

Hell, I don't know. I don't know nuthin' about Stephen King or dinky whatshisface.
Yeah, I think you're right...he's the main character from the story Everything's Eventual.

Uhhh, yeah.

Every time I sit down to write a personal note to someone, my children call me The Kiss of Death.

Okay, it's not my fault that a lot of people I am writing are up there in age. And the odds are high I'm going to get a few that die coincidentally close to when I write them.

Or announce some terminal disease.

For 55 years I have had a friendship that now spans thousands of miles apart. Due to her life circumstances she does not have internet, nor ability to use a computer. Her cell is basic. So, we write snail mail handwritten letters. I do not own a printer, thus it is handwritten, sometimes printed it the cursive becomes chicken scratch. Twice a month our snails pass each other.

Old school here- was taught a handwritten, yes even if a card, write inside it too-- thank you card was a must/ it was respectful and well mannered. If you received a gift respond in a timely manner. Old school habits are hard to break.
