I would like to thank the troll we had posting today. It's partly because of them that we've resurrected these threads. It makes me want to start with Carrie and read them all again! As far as Skeleton Crew, I can't remember a dang thing about it! Help guys!

I agree and I thank that troll too. I think I might start a re read after Christmas. Won't it be fun?!

When I have this collection of paperbacks on the counter behind me...no, not in the pic...it'd be to the right of me in the pic...but when that happens and my wife starts to look at me cross-eyed...whud I say? Okay...it's a start...looks like I need to dig Skeleton Crew off the shelf...already have The Dead Zone back there...might as well stack 'em up....and oops...it'd be the left of me. Right left who can tell anymore. Anyone else have that problem? You mean right but you say left. I'm hell on directions.

I just started Skeleton Crew again. The Mist is the first story. "I haven't seen my wife since then." That's the kind of line that I remember when I feel odd. I listen to those feelings and act accordingly. It's probably nothing, but just in case, I bring my wife with me.

A couple years ago, I was visiting a friend in Boise. It was late, around 10 pm or so. I got a text from one of my kids, my oldest daughter (she was 17). They'd been at a band competition and were on the bus home. She asked me if everything was alright. I said yes and asked why (she'd never asked me something like that before). She said that she just felt this approaching darkness. Like something was very wrong but she didn't know what. She was scared for me. I told her to relax and not spook herself. A few minutes later, I get the same treatment from my then-16-year-old son, who was on a different bus but had the same feeling. Neither had ever done that before. I told him I was fine and to knock off the nonsense.

Around midnight I head home. I-84 is mostly empty near our home that time of night. I remember driving along, not thinking about much, then feeling slightly odd. Next thing I know, I woke up in a wrecked car, on the south side of the freeway (which meant I'd crossed the median, just open desert, between the west bound side (which I'd been on) and the east bound side, and then went off the freeway into a ditch). Apparently I'd also hit someone who was traveling east. Both cars were totalled, though no one was injured. Cops came, did their thing, no one cited. To this day, even after a battery of tests, I don't know why I passed out.

I should have listened to my kids and just stayed the night in Boise. Fortunately, no one got hurt.
