In your mirror.
Good Sunday evening.

What are a couple of things your DREAM home/house would have?

I would love to have a state of the art kitchen. I love to cook and bake. It's just cool and goodie roonie to cook and have family and friends over to hang and eat. (Eat stuff I cooked!)

My DREAM DREAM!!! home would have a wrap around porch. In the morning, go out to the porch with a cuppa and see the Sun rise. In the evening, drink my iced tea watching as the sun sets. Any day or time, sit out on the porch while it rains. Safe and sound. Hearing the rain fall on the roof. Smelling the wet ground and the grass. Sitting on a rocker or swing bench. *sigh*

What would your DREAM home have?

Thank you!

(Have a great evening and a wonderful week.)

Peace.

Cool thread, Siggs. I'd like a big home theater, with a ginormous silver screen and three or four rows of old style theater seats.

A big old library with shelves so high you need one of those ladders on wheels that roll from shelf to shelf--stocked full of dusty old tomes (and a secret, swing-out bookshelf door that leads to a hidden stocked bar.

And, like you said, a wrap around porch.

Yes, like the one in the Biltmore. I'd like all the rooms to have a 19th-century feel to them.

I love the library's ceiling:

An odd, labyrynthine house with so many rooms that you discover rooms you didn't know you had, regularly. Hidden treasures and hidden alcoves. Wooden floors, vaulted ceilings with an equal amount of cramped, cozy reading nooks. Several floor to ceiling windows to let in natural light. Stained glass windows around doors and transoms. Copper pipes and fixtures. Moon roof in bedroom. A tree lined brick patio to welcome friends, have long dinners and many laughs.

Yep, wrap around porch would also be great. No hidden rooms, though--I have a recurring dream about those, and nothing good ever comes of them *shudder*
Yeah, now that I think of it my dream home resembles the house from It Grows On You. What I imagined would probably even give M.C. Escher a challenge.
