Al Stewart and Dark Side of the Moon? Too great.
I was wrong. I had the wrong Al. It was Alan Parsons (later of the Alan Parsons Project).
Apologies.

I got to see NIN on November 3rd, 1994 in Tulsa, OK at Expo Center. Hands down, the best concert I've ever been to. He is amazing in concert. It was on the "Self Destruct" tour supporting The Downward Spiral album. Someday when I'm in the mood to completely embarrass myself more than usual, I might write that night's events down. If it would not have happened to me, I would most likely think someone was making up, but there were plenty of witnesses...lol A great concert though, Trent Reznor is an incredible musician.Nine Inch Nails is beautiful noise Just listen to The Great Destroyer, from Year Zero. Love, love, love that track. I've been a fan for...18 years? And there's at least a few tracks on every album that I could listen to all day. NIN for the win

I love that one bass line in that one.
The music video is perfect for the song (and it also has a funny shot of Trent Reznor with weird aviator goggles, which is my current avatar).
At the moment my favourite NIN song is Piggy.
"Nothing can stop me now..."
This is such a beautiful thread because ... because music. And unifying. And human. I LOVE IT.
"The arts are not a way to make a living. They are a very human way of making life more bearable. Practicing an art, no matter how well or badly, is a way to make your soul grow, for heaven's sake. Sing in the shower. Dance to the radio. Tell stories. Write a poem to a friend, even a lousy poem. Do it as well as you possibly can. You will get an enormous reward. You will have created something." —Kurt VonnegutBecause music!!! Ditto art, literature, and every other form of creativity, for me
