I found this cool test on the web to determine your political leanings on an economic basis and a social basis. The Political Compass

Anyone want to share results ?

Just a tad right of center... exactly where I thought I’d be. :)

Dead center on the horizontal axis, a little left of center on the vertical.

I wish there was a 'not sure' answer for each. Had never heard of some of the stuff. I'm not as socially conservative as I was a few years ago but a few issues weigh heavier than others. It's sad when many people try to find the lesser or two (or three) evils to vote for.

In their example, I'm in Gandhi's neighborhood.

It seems to me a helluva lot of world leaders are in the top right corner.

I wonder where our current world leaders score on this scale.

It depends on which big money donor is conducting the test.

Not going to finish it. I went through a few pages.

Many questions are poorly worded and seem "loaded."

There's ultimately 5.23% of zero truth in the outcome of that survey.

I'm pretty much the Dali Lama (lol). This surprised me a little, but I think it was the questions about sex and religion (especially in education) that pushed me into bottom left. Sexuality is no ones damn business, and I loathe the idea of religion being taught in schools (unless it's a specifically religious school, of course). Bryan is right, though--lots of loaded questions and a definite bias.

    Eh, whatever--it was fun :) Thanks, C&P.

I've no objection to religions being taught in schools. How else are we not to denigrate the different...if we continually fail to understand one another? I despise test questions like this, answered almost all of them either yes/no, agree or disagree. Anyone take the test and answer completely off the wall? That'd be interesting. Change the opinions you hold dear?

I was a couple boxes to the right of you horizontally but the same place vertically. There were several questions that were oddly worded.

I have no idea what this means about me. I love people, I love to help, I hate being told what to do with my money, I'm not into material things - though I love my books. I don't approve of many things big corporations do, I want to save the planet, help the people. I want to be Mother Teresa.

I didn't keep the scores. It's the third time I've plowed through the thing, and my results have slowly orbited and stayed close to the center. This time, they were mildly libertarian/left. I guess I'm okay with that. I've been driving the ball more left the older I get, but I'd like to think it's always been close to the center of the fairway.

The problem for me is that this survey demands solid answers to fuzzy questions, and since so many of my answers searched for the nonexistent category of "It Depends," I might answer the same question two different ways two different times, while still holding the same opinion.
