Betts Books just sold a rare "holy grail" of King collecting. A lettered asbestos copy of Firestarter for $18K! The market for all things King is red hot. I think that is because all the folks who grew up reading his books are now at the height of their purchasing power in their 40s and 50s.

Speak for yourself. I'm broke, broke, broke!!! ;-D

Jonesy, there's no shame in selling the book. I used to sell King (and other authors) books on Ebay all the time. I financed many vacations that way. I have a bunch of books that I've accumulated over the last 5 years or so that I need to sell on Ebay again. I don't think Steve would frown upon you as long as you've read FAB8.

Thanks. Yes I've read the book before. I would keep my recent find but my hardcover is in near perfect condition. I actually sold a HC copy of It recently. Again, I have another copy I'll always keep for me. I've always gotten satisfaction from grabbing something for cheap and reselling it. I give people deals, I never take advantage.

My latest SK read is Insomnia. While I've been a fan for many years I'm not necessarily the most avid fan but I do enjoy most of his work. I hadn't heard of Insomnia and found it by chance at a 2nd hand book fair. I loved it, I think it's might even be in my top 5 SK books. If you haven't read it and you like the Dark Tower series then I think you'll like it. Next on the list to read is End Of Watch.
