buying this amount of books is very good thing. but do you really read them all ? or just making show ? ( just curious to know it )
Not sure about Toni from UK, but once I started collecting Stephen King books, it became a good hobby - often I can find first editions of his older books at the thrift shop, still in very good condition.

Just for a laugh, I should count how many I have (I'm not really sure). I've been collecting for about five years now and have about five or six bookshelves full!

hey can you OR anyone else can tell us about womens view of stephen king. he seems intelligent person.

kindly tell me his view on equality and women. for im serious to know that are we really equal or not.
Oh wow - I would have to say that (and this is just my opinion here) not only are we really equal, in some cases it seems that he thinks women are smarter

He is married to a very strong minded woman, and I am sure he wouldn't want it any other way.

p.s. I am from Canada and after spending a few days in Pakistan in 1995 with the military, I just got the impression that women did not have the same status over there as we do here.

No offense, but I was so happy to come back to a country where I did not feel like a second class citizen.

( again dont take me offensive ) but how is it possible that you couldn't remember his quotes from 28 years on man and womens equality ? you are saying that you were with him in his public interview. so leave it.

and thank you for your best reply. thank you for your time. your replies are best and helpful in every respect. thanks again.
I think perhaps there is some confusion here due to a language barrier - the person you are speaking to is the main moderator here - if she doesn't know what she's talking about, then nobody does!

Man, am I bummed!

Just found out the tickets went on sale yesterday at 10 a.m. Eastern time for the Stephen King tickets in Toronto

They sold out in an hour!

So now, rather than paying 50 bucks a ticket, if I want to go I have to buy them off one of those on-line scalper type websites.

Not sure I can afford 280 bucks a ticket, plus you have to buy two, not just one :shame_pig::cry_pig:

Don't get them from a scalper, luv. The event states it WILL NOT accept tickets purchased from a second party. I'm sorry that you didn't get tickets. (((Neesy)))

Thanks Sweetie

When I figure in the cost of airfare, plus having to stay at my sister's house (who smokes like a chimney!) maybe I'm better off just staying home :apologetic:

Hey! If I make it to the King Kon 2018 (which I'll be trying my best to do) maybe he'll just pop in and say hi to us all

(such a dreamer, eh?) :adoration::still_dreaming:

No offense to those who smoke - I don't mind people who are considerate smokers, but my big sis just about blows it in your face when you're at her place - :a28::nope:

....I won two bids during the Owen & Kelly Literary Auction......the valuable Faithful:
limited edition, hardcover in a wooden slipcase, a "publisher's copy," signed by O'Nan and King, with a short note on page 101 by King, and annotation by O'Nan on the same page.
...and.....:

Who Can Save Us Now?: Brand New Superheroes and Their Amazing (Short) Stories, edited by Owen King & John McNally, paperback, signed by McNally, King, and contributor Kelly Braffet, and annotated by McNally on page 101.

Wow! Congrats!

View attachment 21815 Book binge day two! Not bad going. I also have a huge bag of others by Tolkien, Scott Smith, Koontz, Pratchett, Clive Baker, Anne Rice and the the whole outsize hardback collection of Christopher Paolini's The Inheritance Cycle :D

Wow! Those are awesome!

Some of these SK books are pretty old! I suppose our UK covers are all different to the US ones?

Nice!

....the stuff is really cool, but they have nothing in my size....6'9' and 350......

Scott.....if you have trouble finding SK shirts if you send me one of your own blank tees I will Gunslinger it up for you,

Not sure how "hyper limited" this is but Mondo almost always puts out cool things and I already like the artwork that's shown!
$11.00 with shipping.

Birth.Movies.Death. STEPHEN KING Issue – Mondo

Argggg another dent in the adulting fund! Very cool find! Thanks!

I'm not his wife. :smile2: I'm his personal assistant and have worked for him since November 1988. He has shown me his attitudes about women in actions more so than words. I thought what you were asking for is quotes he has made publicly in interviews, etc. in which he has spoken about his beliefs on that topic. I would need to find the sources before doing so. You could probably do the same just as quickly, if not more so, with a Google search as it's not something I'm able to do at the moment.

Grace under pressure:encouragement:

IMG_2863.JPG Someone I met at a Joe Hill event (and then a handful of other events after) who is also from Maine knew I was collecting the red leather library (but on a budget) and hooked me up with someone who was selling theirs! I got a great deal and the guy was so nice he let me split up payments. Now I only need to find one more and the set will be complete. They are just so damn pretty:livid:
