Got the pocket book edition of Storm of the Century today. It was a first edition. Don't know if that count with pockets.
Some people collect the first edition paperbacks as well as the hardcovers.
I never buy new King books; it gives me dear old mother something to get me fer X-mas and B-days, as it is for many of us, I'd wot.
But I love finding ones I haven't got at Goodwill and such. Caught me a sweet hard bound Needful Things not long ago. Sweet mint 1st edition for a buck and a quarter, lord, it felt stealing somehow.

Got the movie tie-in paperback of The Running Man (good condition) for $1 today at the used bookstore.
I'm plain too cheap to buy new books. Plus, I'm a major procrastinator, so it feels right to wait. I will sometimes buy a brand new book for someone else on special occasions, though.
I found the DVD,s Storm of the Century and The Stand for 5 pounds (is it pounds?, the currency in England (pund?)) each. Fell for the temptation and ordered them. And if Storm of the Century isn't as good as some of you says..... Well, i'll have something to say about that.
Since one of my favorite King movies has yet to be released in the States on Blu Ray(and may well never be) I found an Italian version! In English!

I haven't gotten it yet. I ordered it from Amazon.IT and I did read some reviews that the quality isn't spectacular and there are pretty much zero extras but I love getting movies from foreign countries(especially steelbooks)and couldn't resist this!
Have you watched it yet? I really liked it. Stayed close to the novel. What did you think king family fan?I'm going to buy the Horns DVD this week (if I can find it!). Let me know how it is!
BTW there is a Japanese version that is supposed to be slightly better quality with 5.1 sound - Maximum Overdrive (Stephen King) - Blu-ray Forum

I saw the japanese version as well(online I mean, didn't actually SEE it. lol) It was a bit more pricey and like you said the differences(from reading the reviews) weren't astronomical so I went cheaper. And I'll probably get what I paid for.
Wish they would do a NA release! Scream Factory would be perfect for this.
FYI - The Italian site also has Cat's Eye on BluRay. Hear the transfer on that one is pretty good.
I debated that one. Maybe a future purchase but it's not a fave of mine and I have the regular DVD so not sure I want to upgrade. Don't you love the artwork on these things though?
