I clearly need to check out this Mr. Robert R. McCammon. I'll be on the lookout for his stuff.
I'm on the lookout for 70s and 80s young adult books I may have read in my youth. What did you like to read?
Did anyone read all those Paul Zindel books? I'd love to have some: My Darling, My Hamburger; Pardon Me, You're Stepping on My Eyeball; The Pigman books; then, of course: Go Ask Alice - which I bought new a few years ago, just to have. Francesa, Baby; also, I was into Sidney Sheldon, I'd like to find some of his old stuff.

No, I read only Pardon Me, You're Stepping on My Eyeball!

(Warning: this book may depict animals coming to harm.)

How about Forever? I remember kids at school being shocked that I didn't have to hide my copy (in fact, my mom read it before me and handed me her copy :D) Paula Danziger. More Judy Blume. S.E. Hinton.

4 Gaiman graphic novels & a PB of Stardust. Egyptology book for LilMan. A new (to me) HB copy of Myth Adventures--mine is a taped together horrorshow :). Plus a nice Depression glass cake plate, and a 60s pastel yellow Pyrex bowl to add to the set I'm slowly accumulating. A good day!

I remember those bowls. Didn't they come in yellow, blue and green?

I actually bought a copy of Forever for my oldest when she was around 16 - I was probably 14 when I read it. My mom didn't care what I read. I remember reading her copy of Class Reunion by Rona Jaffe when I was in 5th grade - way over my head but I learned so much.

And Judy Blume's Wifey! That was and eye opener in the 6th or 7th grade :wha:
