Wnen I was at the bookstore yesterday I saw 2 different editions of Joyland; both soft cover and in mint condition. One would be the size
of a Reader's Digest and the other the size of a magazine. I want the hardcover; so I left them there. Now I am thinking I should have taken
a closer look at them. They were $4.00 each. Anyone have an opinion on these softcovers....

Alright everyone, I am looking at what i think is a book club edition of Christine...however the only thing that makes me say that is that it's missing the dust cover price and the edition numbers on the inside front flap...two characteristics of a genuine first edition from what i have read...other than that I believe it is "full size" retail..price either way for me is $5!

I saw the same one at the Value Village here except it had the dust jacket and was in good condition. It was published by Doubleday and the price was
$4.00. Wondering now if I should have bought it....

Picked these up a couple of weeks ago at a used book store that I frequent often. First printing Lancer Conan's from the late 60's, all in VG+ condition. These essentially replaced all of my not-so-good-condition Conan's that I've had since I was a kid. Bran Mak Morn, King Kull and a few others were also in there. Someone had obviously recently brought in their Robert E. Howard collection, because they were not there a few days before. This is why it pays to hit these stores often. ;)
