I'm jealous of all the good deal so many here get!! The used book stores/thrift stores around here are just not that inexpensive! I can't remember the last time I payed less than $3-4 for a used book. Even paperback. Not that that stops me from buying books I think I can't live without. But only now and then...I'm a poor girl!!
The last SK book I bought from a used book store was a pb copy of The Green Mile in a slipcover(?), basically new condition, about $8.

Yesterday was a good'un :) A PB Robert McCammon I've not heard anything about (Blue World--short stories and one novella), a Shirley Jackson PB that is new to me (Come Along With Me), a new HB copy of The Regulators (not my favorite, but my copy is pretty hammered), Gunter Grass PB of The Tin Drum (Kurben has me intrigued), and a lovely'50s HB of English Romantic Poetry & Prose. All for under $6! Now I have to find room... :p

You should really like the Blue World one! It has some really good short stories in it (Pin is especially good as is Night Calls The Green Falcon which I wish McCammon would do a sequel to!). It was never published in hardcover in the US. I think Subterranean Press will be issuing a hardcover version at some point. I've read the Jackson novel- it's a good one!

Hi! You should check out thriftbooks.com They have really good prices and if you order over $10 worth of books then shipping is free!

Subterranean's limited edition of Blue World will be published in August. A new trade paperback edition will be published by them in September.

Blue World (preorder) by Robert McCammon — Subterranean Press

Today I stopped at another little thrift shop and found a nice leather-bound War and Peace (hey, I may dive into it this summer :p), a HB The Ocean at the End of the Lane, and a nice HB Emily Dickinson collection. Seems like there was another one, but I can't remember the title right now.

I was at my favorite flea market and there were some King hardcovers...a buck a piece. One was a first edition hardcover of.....The Wastelands! It has wavy pages but I still love it.She told me I could have the other couple of King hardcovers for free so she could get them out of there!

You must be their number one fan! (does that even make sense?)

edit: they must love you there.
Makes sense to me

Thanks for this tip, kingricefan :)
Don't forget to set up a 'wish list' either! Make sure before you order a book to look for the little icon's stating whether it's missing a dustjacket or if it's an ex-library copy (although I've been lucky enough to get ex-library copies of some Joe Lansdale signed/numbered limited editions for pennies on the dollar and have been happy with those!).
