Just got home from a trip to Seattle where I scored BIG on some books! Here's the list:
Hodder & Stoughton hardback 1st of Wolves Of The Calla by King
Signed 1st of Saint Odd by Dean Koontz
Signed 1st of Beauty's Kingdom by Anne Rice (didn't even know this book was written!)
Trade paperback of Joyland by King
British paperback of The Bachman Books (yes, Rage is in it)
Gray Mountain by John Grisham
The Bone Bed by Patricia Cornwell
1st original paperback printing of The Running Man by Richard Bachman (Half Price Books for $1.25!)
All in all, not a bad haul. Hey, I just rhymed!

Today was a a 'mom' day,and she wanted to go thrifting. You know I didn't come home empty-handed (lol). I found one of the bound, fancy editions of the first three Vampire Chronicles that sell for $20 at B&N, for $2. A HB of Michael Grant's Hunger (from his Gone series) for DD#2--she's slowly replacing her PBs of the series with HB. And a PB of McCammon's Speaks the Nightbird for 50 cents. A pretty good day :)

I've been trying to organize my books. I saw a hardcover of Different Seasons at the used bookstore a few months ago and didn't buy it because I thought I had it already. Turns out, I had it confused with The Dark Half !! :( :facepalm_smiley:
There's got to be some kind of an app for a smart phone that you can keep track of what books you have or need. Anyone know of one?

I don't have a cell phone or smart phone; but what I do is keep a small memo book in my purse and in it are written the SK Books I am looking for as well as Grisham and
O'Shaughnessy. Works for me ;;D

I bought a big pile of SK books from Value Village today - hard covers and paperbacks - all in pretty good condition (some in "like new" condition) and almost all were first editions - I really splurged!

Tell me more!! :)

Well I bought 10 John Grisham hardcovers for $1.50 each (but VV here always has the deal buy 4 get the 5th free). In paperbacks I bought Salem's Lot (original one), Salem's Lot U.K.
edition (original one), It, The Stand (the first one), The Stand U.K. Edition (the first one), The Stand Complete and Uncut, Pet Sematary, the series of 6 novellas of the Green Mile (been
looking for them a LONG time). The paperbacks were $1.00 each (same deal, buy 4 get the 5th free). All the books are in very good condition; I don't think most of the paperbacks
have even been read. All the paperbacks say 'First Edition' in them. So, coming home on the bus with 2 bags of books, I had a huge grin on my face. It was half price day at VV
on all books. LOVE that day!! They send out emails when there are
sales too.

Get this: so one day I hit Goodwill lookin for the usual, come across four decent condish copies of Don Pendelton's old EXECUTIONER series--earlier ones, like BOSTON BLITZ, SHOWDOWN IN SOHO, etc. Snatched em up and headed for the checkout, where the clerk sez, smirking, "You just missed em, we had, like, ALL of these just half an hour ago."

"No kidding?"

"Yep," she giggles. "My husband bought all of em. He loves em. When I saw we had those I called him up and tole em."

That's just dirty pool right there. Doggone employees hadn't ought get first dibs on the merchandise, dagblastit.
