Well dang. I donated one of these to goodwill a few years back.
Well dang! Did you get something else to put fruit and vegetables in? I don't know what else to do with mine. I finally got something for potatoes and onions. It's almost that time of year and my counters will be full of all the summer foods - no where to prep for cooking. I need one of those.

I was just looking at that one in the bookstore the other day. Ellis is a reputable historian--his Revolutionary Summer is very good. My daughter is reading Ron Chernow's Hamilton and then his Washington is up next :) As soon as she finishes, I'll nab them for a good read. McCullough's 1776 is phenomenal, as well.
I have read 1776 awhile ago, on your recommendation as i remember. You were right, as usual with your recommendations, it was very good.

Today I came home with a nice 1st hardback of The Day America Told The Truth- What People Really Believe About Everything That Really Matters by James Patterson & Peter Kim. Yes, it's THE James Patterson. It's a non-fiction book based on surveys that were randomly sent out across America in which people answered questions about everything from religion, racial issues, sex, beliefs, etc. Quite fascinating. The book cost me all of ten cents!!!

Did you take that picture while still in the mall? We're you so excited to share your find that you couldn't wait until you got home? That's awesome.

I haven't played gta v for a good while now, I mostly played online but it went boring with the drip feed of half assed updates.

Yes, it was at the mall :D, i am, i'm so excited to share every hauls that i get while doing some window shopping (ended up buying something #SoLongMyAllowance)

I haven't play GTA V for almost a week, because project. But when i have time, i choose to play at my XBOX because if someone found me playing on laptop, yeah, they'll get my laptop, ended up me mocking at the corner of the room while they (my cousin) play my game (the bery reason why i added password to my laptop, aside to my DOTA2)

I couldn't handle my drawing of the three and wastelands being so different. Mine are all the same theme (except for wttkh) but book 7 is taller than the rest and it annoys the life out of me.

I have the DT set like yours- all uniform size/editions... These two books I picked up are extra/gift copies.

....Dana, I have no clue what format you're collecting the series in, but there is ONE on Ebay right now....
Black Berets Series 10 Terror Summit by Mike Mcgray X | eBay
Thanks, Scott! I've been looking around for them on-line. Got most of them from thriftbooks.com They are only available in the paperback form, like those pesky Bachman books were, so there's probably not too many out there now. I'm going to look on abebooks.com and see what's there. I seem to remember that there were some available that were rather cheap. Figure I'd better jump on it now before the masses discover that these were written by Michael McDowell as more and more folks are discovering his books again!

...this one appears to be in very gently used condition, and one seller is offering up the entire series for $90......

Found some Steinbeck and some Ellery Queen (i know, hell of a mix but you take em when you see em) for three dollars. Three dollars for five books is a rather good deal so i didn't argue. It was in an antique store where my brother would try to sell something (he knows me so he pointed me to a corner and said that they have books here) . I almost wowed not to buy anything but i am hopeless in abookstore. And a second hand book store is even worse. These books look at you with pleading puppy eyes, they stretch out small pseudolimbs and caress you while you hear voices whisper "buy me, Buy me!!". I am not Superman. I gave in. I bought five books because they would not let me loose before i had bought a certain number. These stores are deadly, and yet i love them. Am i strange?

Did they have the buy five books, get one free? That happens to me at the second hand store too - I end up with duplicates once I get home and check my book shelves :hammer::tongue-new:

No, but i got a discount on the prize. Maybe the owner saw in my face that these books and I had been in a fight and i had lost and she felt some pity. You never know. (but i did take a chance with one of the Steinbeck books, I was sure i had read it but i was unsure if i had it (it was Of Mice And Men) but i remembered correctly in the end.
