Found some Steinbeck and some Ellery Queen (i know, hell of a mix but you take em when you see em) for three dollars. Three dollars for five books is a rather good deal so i didn't argue. It was in an antique store where my brother would try to sell something (he knows me so he pointed me to a corner and said that they have books here) . I almost wowed not to buy anything but i am hopeless in abookstore. And a second hand book store is even worse. These books look at you with pleading puppy eyes, they stretch out small pseudolimbs and caress you while you hear voices whisper "buy me, Buy me!!". I am not Superman. I gave in. I bought five books because they would not let me loose before i had bought a certain number. These stores are deadly, and yet i love them. Am i strange?
Kurben, one cannot go wrong with Steinbeck. ;-D

Half Price Books. I went to the one in the Crossroads/Bellevue area and the one in downtown Redmond. There's one in the University District, one in Everett and one down in Tacoma. They're a great place for used books!!! There's tons of great bookstores in Seattle. I also went to the Goodwill in downtown Seattle on Dearborn.

While waiting for EOW to release here in Philippines (which is tooooooo slow), i brought myself these following books in a used bookstore. And i'm so happy! (except to the Dr. Seuss one, the saleslady give it to me as a gratitude for being a best customer :D)

Ps. Altho i alread read all dan brown books, i wish to have my own copy, used or not because i only borrow dan brown books in my library. And i only scanned and read it as fast as I can because the three borrowing days is not enough. For me.

eod.jpg I found this at a tiny little used book store in downtown Sunnyslope (its a region within Phoenix). It was a quarter mile from my apartment and I had never even seen it. The store was a labyrinth of collectible books. Some unique editions mixed in with everything else! Yes, I couldn't resist getting this one to re read, but there was so much else to return for. (I see the fragment and I'm leaving it there):okay:

I hit that little store again today in the hopes of finding a book that I need for a book club, but walked out with a copy of Desperation for fifty cents plus a few children's books. Here is the funny part of the story: Next stop-grocery store
I look for the book I need in their tiny book section, currently being stocked by its person. The gentleman asks me if I'm looking for a book. .
"Yes", I hesitate because I cannot remember the name of this book club book. The associate hands me End of Watch,
"This is my last copy! You know, Stephen King is a really popular author?"
Ummm- I hadn't heard. Who?
". .I know but I've read that one, thanks for the recommendation though!";;D
