You can clear out specific forums without clearing all the New Posts. The Games forum is one that adds up in a hurry so if it is not one you want to read through every post, you can click to the Games forum and once on the title page, go to the top left corner where it says Mark Forums Read and when you click on that you have an option to mark all posts in that forum as read. This procedure will work for other forums as well but just remember that it will mark as read all of the posts in that forum.

Is this on a desktop? I keep looking for ways to do this, but I'm either just not seeing it (happens all the time lol) or it's because I'm on my phone.

Will have to check my phone as I don't usually read the site that way unless I'm not at a place where I can use my desktop or iPad.

[EDIT:] Just checked and it works exactly the same way on my phone.

It might be how I'm explaining it, i.e. in a way that's not making sense for you.

I think it's my phone. The "mark forums read" appears for an instant (right where you said it would be) when I switch forums, but disappears before I can catch it.
No big deal, if it bothers me that much I'll just log in on the kids' laptop and fix it. Thanks for trying to help! :)
