Good evening.

What's on/in Your Perfect Burger?

Mine:

Mayo, mustard and a squirt of ketchup. Lettuce, tomato, extra onion, extra pickles.

I want french fries and onion rings. Three jalapenos. A large Coke with cracked ice.

After, I would like a chocolate malt. NOT a chocolate shake. (There is a HUGE difference.)

What's in yours?

A homemade hamburger patty...not too thick. I like cheese, mushrooms and onion. I cook the patty and at the end of the cooking process, I put fried mushies and onions on top of it while the patty is still cooking in the pan....then top it off with a nice thick cheeseslice. I usually toast my buns and then I add my own red sauce. I mix ketchup with heinz sandwich spread, add relish, mustard and mayo with a shot of hot sauce. Yum Yum. I like coffee with my burger.

I don't do red meat much anymore, so I have to dig a bit in the mental archives. Habanero jelly, haggis, ham, and ah. Hamburger. There we go.

Good quality meat, thick, and depending on the mood, mediium rare to what I term "legally rare." Good cheese melted on, or pepperjack. Slice of fresh tomato. Grilled sliced mushrooms. Sliced jalapenos. Grilled onions. Dill slices. Spicy brown mustard. In that order. The less bread, the better. Deli thins work just fine.

Accompaniments: crispy fries with seasoned salt, and agree with Sigs: Chocolate malt, not shake. Or a chocolate banana malt.

Now I'm all hungry.

I like mine with lettuce and tomato,
Heinz Fifty-seven and French fried potatoes.
Big kosher pickle and a cold draft beer................

Perfect burger:
80/20 ground beef, about 1/3 lb per patty. Pick it up and just kinda round out the edges as you spin it around. DON'T over work it! Take a knife and cut through the center about 2/3 of the way and hold the patty in one hand while spooning crumbled bleu cheese into the cut. Seal it up with the same moves as before. Grill until just medium rare (Grandpa - I like that "legally rare";-D). Bottom bun - mayo and spicy mustard. Then patty, then bacon, then tomato, then onion, then lettuce, mayo on top bun! Side of fries and maybe a grilled jalapeno pepper, stuffed with pepper jack then wrapped in bacon. Beer as needed. Nirvana!;;D

I like grilled hamburgers with lettuce, pickles, and some sort of mayo dressing (or steak sauce) on sour dough rolls. Served with barbecue potato chips and Dr. Pepper.

I know it is bottom feeding but I really like a Whopper from Burger King.

....very well done burger with mucho cheese-American, Swiss or Provolone....not picky about toppings.....hell I'll eat damn near anything on one if it's available-but I do really enjoy bleu cheese and portabella 'shrooms....enjoy cold water, icy Mountain Dew or a large frothy beverage.....and fries, good gawd Maude-can't forget fries.....oh yeah, and cookies for "zert......

I've never had a beer with my perfect burger. Awhile back I tried drinking beer with pizza. Two slices of pizza and a large draft beer and I fell asleep. Carbs coma. I don't do that anymore. :laugh:

This is going to sound really Un-American....but I hate Beer! With a passion.....gross stuff! :barf:;-Dlol. However...I do LOVE a good wine or cocktail with a burger.
