Great little movie, containing 3 stories all sequenced in the same fashion as the amicus movies of the 70's or Creepshow, with a wraparound story to connect all 3 short films. Only one of them is adapted from a SK story - 'The Cat From Hell' that recently appeared in the book Just After Sunset. The old man that calls the hit-man is brilliant in this. Even the special effects are a bit sickening and not too tacky. The other 2 stories are pretty good too, especially 'Lot 249' about a mummy. The wraparound story features Deborah Harry as a witch keeping prisoner a child in order to cook him for her dinner party meal. Before the guests arrive he tries to extend his living by reading the witch the three stories from her book. Excellent!
