I have just read some of the reviews of Kingdom Hospital and many wanted a second season. I agree. But I'm not sure how well known it is that the film is based on Lars Von Triers "Riget" (short for "Rigshospitalet"- a hospital in Copenhagen,Denmark; The National hospital, the scene for all surreal events.) The "original" was a big hit in both Sweden and Denmark and was released in the late 90:s.Two seasons. It was very interesting to compare the two "versions"-both are funny, absurd and much more in their own way. As a Swede I noticed that many characters names are common in scandinavia. Perhaps a nod to the Scandinavian melancholy ..Anyway. I guess you can buy "Riget" in US/Canada with english subtitles. Take the chance and I promise you a insight into a warped, twisted mind-in a good way! Greetings from a constant reader in Stockholm!

I couldn't believe this series was cancelled. It was the best thing on TV and I had so looked forward to seeing it. It's now years later and I'm still miffed. It's good to see that this is on DVD. It appears that's my only option for enjoying it.

ABC has always cancled episodes the best thing you guys can do is try SYFY I really want to see season 2 because season 1 was awesome. I love stephen king's work.

This was an amazing series that ABC didn't give a chance. I also think it happened at the wrong time, given the boom in supernatural shows. It was written so perfectly and with the ties to King's other works? It was flawless, well one minor flaw, one character was never named though he was featured often and had a huge arc in "The Passion of Reverend Jimmy". The "firecracker man" was all Ron Selmour was known as. That's my only pet peeve with the show. Other than that, flawless

I loved this. It should be sold as a book and in Kindle format [I can make the font large enough to read].

I think this was an excellent series, it would be awesome if we could see what happens next, the suspense is killing me, I know many people in England that would love to see it, so please please show it :)

ABC definitely didn't know this is as impactful as twin peaks and deserves a second season of some sort. The open loop of the evil dr. and steg is killing me. I need closure :)

I believe Stephen should carry the rest of the series out in book form. This series was so underrated. I rewatch the series once a month and I cannot believe its over (yes, after all this time) I still want more! I wish I could tell Stephen that he was robbed of a great thing! He had picked such a PERFECT cast. It fairly gave screentime to everyone, though one character was never named! The "firecracker" man as he is listed on IMDB. He played a good character who was showcased through more than one episode and he didn't get a name?!

I loved the series, I only wished that this was a book before hand and that it had a second season.

we just watched the entire series over 2 days. We loved it I could see Stephen directing every paragraph.I loved the guest maintenace all reading a king book(wayne newton probably my fave) Too bad there wasn't a 2nd year but I'm really glad the first series was.

I would love to see you do a movie on Waverly Hospital in Louisville Kentucky. This is one of the most haunted places in the United States. Hundreds of people died there from TB. Including children. In fact so many were dying that they were disposing of their bodies down the laundry shoots. Adults and children were toremented there. They were used for guieny pigs. I would love to see you do some research on this and make a movie. I think it would be a great one! You are my favorite author.

Would love to know what happens with the Kingdom Hospital story. Have been a fan for years. Especially liked the Dark Tower series. Is there any way to find out how the story progressed or what came next?

I'm having a blast going back and trying to dig out connections/references to other King works in this project. I wish there was a comprehensive guide that would help with this. Commentary on the DVD's only covers episode one and I believe Wikipedia's list is far from complete. Also, I'm wondering if the reference to Pet Sematary in this project, which has so many references to the Dark Tower series, makes it, by proxy, related to the Dark Tower as well.

The Story was Good and I Wanted to Follow, but the Time Slot was Very Bad and I Missed too Many Episodes. Multiple Times and/or Formats would be Better_HBO/Showtime?

I would love to get this show on a dvd! I've seen most of it on t.v. quite a few times and love this "movie".

Goes to show you that American TV doesn't know the value of a great story and can screw the pooch when it comes to adaptation of foriegn series. Reckon I'll have to buy the DVD to actually see the entire series.More! More! The people want more!

I would love to see the second part of this movie done. Maybe if enough people write in, he will consider it. This is one of my favorite movies.

Believe it or not, I think I found my copies of the DVD's at WalMart! I agree with some of the others, to heck with ABC, make a movie...or try SciFi Channel, or FX...or even A&E or TNT...they have a lot of good shows that have been turned down by the "Big 3" also. I would LOVE to have Kingdom Hospital come back.

Did he consider making a movie about the second part. I loved the series so much I have watched it in it's entirety 3 times since purchasing it. The way it ends is the perfect beginning for a part 2. If ABC doesn't know a good thing when they see it, then screw them. Make a movie of your own.

I'm so ticked off that ABC canceled season two before it even got made. What were they thinking? I'm sick of all the mindless crap on tv now, its all reality tv and stupid sitcoms. Kingdom Hospital was fresh and exciting. I want MORE!

I love that series. ABC is so stupid. They don't have any good shows, except Boston Legal. Love Captain Kirk
