I wonder if the chapter headings will be like the original? This is a new story, right? Or something? We're not going to be told that Christine elopes with that Plymouth Roadrunner posted in that other thread? Car was sitting in front of Devil's Tower. Anyone worried?

I think I read that Christine will have GPS in this incarnation and map out a route to hell for all who drive her!

I'm not ready to buy this was an April Fools prank. We had all that other stuff going on...image-swapping...my screen tilted about fifteen degrees...that happen to anyone else? I'm hoping for a protracted prank...you walk into the bookstore next April 1st and there on the shelf is Christine Lives! The smoking tires of fate...that should have been a clue. I'm not the only one who bought this, right?

Sorry to disappoint but it was totally an April Fools prank. :smile2:

I should have listened to the little voice that tried to speak up as I read the "news"...tried to warn me...or maybe it was a lack of faith accompanied by the troubling idea that the Big Guy had lost it...that he'd soon be walking around bare-chested at airports in Idaho. A prank, good thing. He got me good. :)

You must not have clicked through to the link as that had the April Fools notice on it along with the traditional Rickroll. =D

Nope...I clicked on the "News" post...read that short piece and ignored the dismayed voice...and wasn't until Bev Vincent's post here in this thread that I realized I'd been had...although not "for sure" until I'd clicked on the Rickroll and even then I didn't know what to think. We had all that other stuff going on. I thought that was the extent of the April Fools. Plus, Stephen seems still to be cranking out stories faster than the law allows. Smokin' tires of fate! Sheesh! I fell for it!

Didn't last year's Rickroll have to play in its entirety before you could click off the page? I remember clicking at the speed of Santa's Little Elves to close it all up when I realized I'd been duped. Could have been my computer. Then again, could have been a dream, too. :concern:

Anyway, good one this year!

I think you're right that in past years it has been the actual Rickroll, not just the video that stops at the end. I can't even remember what the joke was last year--I'd thought we hadn't done one because it was on the weekend but that had to have been the year before since in 2013 it was on a Monday.
