Hi and welcome to the site. :) I think this has been discussed earlier (on the older version of our MB) and I remember Ms. Mod (Steve's personal assistant) mentioning that he is not involved with the show, so it is likely that the writers are fans of Stephen's work.

Love the show! I may be slightly biased because I've worked as an extra in two episodes. They're filming down in and around Austin, TX.

Here's a screenshot of the one I was in that has already aired:

Here is "The Tribe" of extras on set that day....I'm at the red arrow...

I have counted references to The Stand twice including the title of last week's episode, one reference to Nightshift and one reference to The Talisman. I love the show. I have wondered what the King connection may have been....

So there's a new TV show out called Revolution, and when I was on a plane (No buffering, win!), I took a look to see what it was about.

People in a post-apocalyptic world of zero electricity, trying to figure out how to turn it back on and fight different militia, rebels and factions. (Really crappy summary but that's basically it).

The reason my interest was perked was because in the first or second episode, one of the main characters introduces himself as Stu Redman, and his niece as Frannie. Pity it's not a very interesting show for me, but it seems like there are quite a lot of connections to the Stand…in terms of set and the fact that in season 2, one of the episodes is called 'captain trips'.

Anyone watched the series in full? What do you think? Am I wrong?

(To mods: I'm not really sure if this should be posted in the novel or TV show section of the forum, so if it's in the wrong section, sorry!)

Hi MandarkC just letting you know that I have merged your Revolution thread into an earlier one. :)
