Me, too! Already have pre-ordered the next one for my iPad so it will be delivered the day it comes out. I think I feel a cold coming on for sometime in December.

I have her linked on my FB page and they're currently casting for the "Outlander" mini-series. I don't know if i'll watch yet because i have to admit that i have an unnatural crush on Jamie and i like him Juuuuuust the way he is in my head, thank you very much! LOL

You know, a friend loaned me the first three of the Outlander series, but since I've been reading the Dark Tower for over a year, I just haven't started. Maybe that'll be what's after DT.

Sai King is really the only "horror" writer I am into, and that's because his writing is really oh so much more than that.

I like writers who make me laugh: Fannie Flag and Marian Keyes are the first that come to mind. I still read kids books too: Rebecca Stead is pretty great - When You Reach Me was amazing.

Short stories are really my favorite flavor of book. I try to pick up Best American Short Stories (Mr. King edited one of those a while back), O'Henry's, Best Stories of the South, whatever collection I can get my hands on, annually.

If it will help sway you any, Steve has read a couple of the Outlander books and liked them. He thinks Diana Gabaldon is a good writer.

Have seen pics on her web site of Sam Heughan as Jamie on the set for filming of Outlander. I think he'll do just fine and this may be what tips my decision for finally upgrading to the DVR receiver for DirecTV and subscribing to Starz.

Scribner publishes Kathy Reichs so receive her books on a regular basis. Always read Meg Gardiner's books when they come out. Also enjoy J.A. Jance but other than that writer guy from Maine, there aren't any authors I follow regularly.

Joe Hill - I wish he could pump them out like dad. :)
Michael Connelly - Every novel of his that I've read has been a page turner
Elmore Leonard
Kurt Vonnegut - I've read some of his books several times and always get something new from them
John Irving
Tom Robbins - laugh out loud hilarious
Tom Franklin
Owen King - He only has one book but I can tell I am going to like anything else. He's very different from Joe and Steve.
Max Allan Collins - Just recently started reading him but the Quarry books I've read are fantastic
