Heart of the South
I found a purse at Goodwill that made my heart grow three sizes. It's identical to a purse my favorite older cousin had in the '70s, and it's in perfect condition. I'll have to take a picture and post it. It's a white, linen-ish material with an overlay of white macrame and wooden beads. Sounds hideous, I know, but it's beautiful, and it brought back so many memories. Oh, and it was $3!
I remember those kind of purses! How cool!
I picked up 3 SK books I didn't have: Needful Things, On Writing and Cujo - score!

Those types of finds are the best! Pictures!

God, if I still lived up north I swear I would start a business of buying all the beautiful, damn near perfect condition hardcover sk books from my special gem of a used bookstore and send to all you wonderful folks looking to add to your collections. The place is a godd**n treasure trove!!!! Imagine two rooms filled wall to wall with nothing but almost every sk book imaginable for no more than 5 dollars for hardcovers! I plan on getting a copy of It next time I'm home, just have it on my nook right now.
Where is this place? is it called Xanadu or El Dorado?

We can give him the benefit of the doubt - sometimes libraries will sell off their old books on a bargain table for a buck or two. (But there should be a stamp inside that says something - darn - I cannot recall the word but it starts with R - maybe just "Removed"???) :m_curious: :m_thinking:

There is a penalty for early withdrawal!

But seriously I had a couple and now they are gone - I probably donated them to a charity or sold them at a used book store. I may be wrong about that word - perhaps it did not actually start with R after all.

I have a good one called "The Hypochondriac's Guide to Life. and Death." by Gene Weingarten with an intro by Dave Barry
It's a pretty good book - quite funny!
(I just checked and there are no stamps on it anywhere but I am positive I did NOT steal it!) :no_pig:

Maybe we should let the 'Library Poleethman' be the judge of that........
